In Clear Spring, we often use the phrase “One Family.” It’s a phrase we have shared in both our hardest moments of grief and our happiest moments of celebration.

Tonight, we want to extend that phrase beyond Clear Spring and across WCPS.

Every band in Washington County is One Family.

When one of us hurts, we all hurt. When one of us celebrates, we all celebrate. And tonight, our hearts are with the students, staff, families, and entire band community who are grieving the loss of one of their own.

We loved having Mr. Engel from Boonsboro High join us at rehearsal tonight. He watched a recording of our show and came with a ton of notes and suggestions on how to move forward for the season. We are new to competing and appreciated his feedback and knowledge of what judges look for so much. Thanks for bringing the "groove," Mr. Engel!!

Congratulations to our seniors and THANK YOU for everything you've given to the band program over the past 4 years.

This group will always hold a special place in Ms. Hiser's heart, as they were her first ever group of 4th graders at CSES, and the group that followed her to the high school as freshmen.

We've built this thing together 💕

(missing: Chris Torres who was down with football!)

As we've continued to grow and expand the concept of our marching band show, we've discovered there are many many things we don't own for our program. We're working on it, but can't afford everything all at one time.

One of the things we do not own is a sound/speaker system in good enough condition to project soloists, guitarists or anything electronic from the front ensemble. Williamsport HS was gracious enough to let us borrow the perfect set-up for us this year. We are so, so grateful and hope to return the favor in some capacity in the future. So thank you for all your support in our recent fundraisers, it really has been program-changing!!

It doesn't look that expensive, but it is 😅
