Our 5 Senses study has lined up perfectly with harvest time. We’ve been investigating our produce with all of our five senses. And while we investigate, we will be sharing posts about our “Wild Roots Farmer of the Day”! Prepare to be in ‘awwww’ of the cutest farmers around!

• FARMER EDITH •

Edith has been gardening at Wild Roots since last September! She loves looking for the ripe tomatoes!

Edith doesn’t love the pokey w**ds, but loves the garden sandbox and sitting with Mrs Lily while she w**ds the garden.

Fun fact: Edith spends a lot of her time gardening with her Grandpa!

Edith’s favorite garden item is tomatoes! But she loves many fruits and veggies!

Introducing:
• FARMER LEWIS •

Lewis has been gardening since he was five days old! (See second photo) He loves looking at the pumpkins and watermelons growing “bigger than my head!!!”

Lewis doesn’t love w**ding the garden, but loves looking for red tomatoes and critters. He’s often the first one to spot a bird on the fence!

Lewis’s favorite garden item is WATERMELON! His favorite choice would be cucumbers…except he really only eats them for the ranch. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

Introducing:
• FARMER LIAM •

This is Liam’s first harvest with us and we are so happy to have him! Liam loves running through the garden and looking at all the different plants.

Liam isn’t a huge fan of the babies bunnies running through the garden, but he sure loves finding worms and digging in the dirt! Liam’s favorite part about the garden is our garden sandbox.

Liam’s favorite garden item is WATERMELON! And he cannot wait for the cantaloupe harvest!

Introducing:
• FARMER ELSIE •

Elsie has been gardening at Wild Roots since last fall! (See second photo) She loves walking through the garden to look at all of the pumpkins and “baby watermelons”.

Elsie does not like the pokey zucchini leaves, but loves our patch of zinnias! “My mom would like that one!!!!” she often says. Fun fact! Last fall Elsie got to harvest the veggies that her big brother grew with us!

Elsie’s favorite garden item is CUCUMBERS! But she is a big fan of “gold coins” (summer squash) and watermelon too!

• FARMER BRAXTON •

Braxton loves running in the garden and finding “matoes”. Braxton’s favorite part of the garden is turning on the sprinkler!

Braxton loves digging in the garden when we transplant things and finding bunnies!

Braxton’s favorite garden item is WATERMELON! But he chose tomatoes and cucumbers for his picture. 🤣

• FARMER NORAH •

Norah has been gardening at Wild Roots since she was five months old! (See second photo) She is very proud of her garden haul each day and loves to help w**d the garden.

Norah doesn’t love bugs, but can spot a beautiful flower or butterfly a mile away!

Norah’s favorite garden item is TOMATOES! But she loves eating all fruits and veggies!

🥒 The little farmers at Wild Roots are so excited to share our excess organic produce with the community! 🍉

These little farmers have worked hard all spring and summer to grow all these goodies and they’d be honored if you’d stop by, grab some, and help support our 2027 garden fund! 🌱

We will have this little table in our driveway. We accept cash and Venmo. As always, please remember, as you are on our little school’s property, cameras will be on at all times. 🤎

Wild Roots is looking for a farm stand (or any similar outdoor structure). It looks like our pumpkins, watermelons, and cucumbers will be abundant! We would love to have a little stand at the end of the driveway! Let me know if you have anything that may work! Thanks!
