Walter Strom Middle School Walter Strom Middle School (WSMS) is home of the Wildcats, and serves grades 6-8 for the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District.

Additionally, comments containing false information, endorsing political campaigns, promoting commercial products or services without District approval will be removed. WSMS will not, however, remove otherwise permissible comments based on viewpoint. Employees are expected to follow all District policies when engaging on social media. Join the Carpenter Memorial Library this summer for Unearth a Story, a fun-filled series of family events designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of reading. Held throughout July and August, these free programs feature exciting hands-on experiences, live performances, and special community guests for children of all ages. Programs are hosted in partnership with the Roslyn Public Library and various community organizations. Events kickoff on July 7th! Please join us in celebrating Berlinda Morua on her retirement after 21.5 years of dedicated service as a Bus Driver for our district!

Berlinda began her career as one of our special needs drivers before working her way to Route A. In addition to safely transporting generations of students, she also served as PSE President for several years, advocating for and supporting her colleagues along the way. Outside of work, Berlinda has enjoyed attending plays and cheering on athletes at girls volleyball games.

Thank you, Berlinda, for your years of commitment, leadership, and care for our students and staff. We wish you all the best in your retirement!

Please join us in celebrating Dale Sweet on his retirement after 20 years of dedicated service as a Middle School Science Teacher in our district. Over two decades, Mr. Sweet has brought science to life for countless students, helping them explore, question, and discover the world around them. He has been a consistent favorite among students, known for making learning engaging and memorable while building strong connections in the classroom. Happy Last Day of School! This is a reminder that all schools in the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District are operating on a Half Day Early Release schedule today. The Elementary School will release students at 12:25 p.m., and the Middle and High Schools will release at 12:30 p.m. Bus transportation will follow the early release schedule as well. If you have any questions, please contact the school’s main office.
