With an emphasis on organic gardening and nutritional education for all ages; we know that community gardening improves people’s quality of life by providing a catalyst for neighborhood and community development, stimulating social interaction, encouraging self-reliance, beautifying neighborhoods, producing nutritious food, reducing family food budgets, conserving resources and creating opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy and education.

Here’s what’s on the cart today. Remember, tomorrow is the pickling class at 7. We’re going to move some of the rock pavers into place. Could use every hand possible starting at 6. Please, come help and let’s knock this out. Sign up for the class on the Special Events link.

First and foremost, thank you to Dave Cucinotta, for coming out and opening up our flower bed and the areas where we need to lay the pavers. With that being said, now is the time for all hands on deck. We have to level out and get these pavers laid in the garden entrance around the butterfly garden and a path through the flower bed. Feel free to start moving piles around with the wheel barrow.

There’s a ton of tomatoes and green beans on the cart. Go get them before they go bad.
