Join the 2026 Fall Harvest Team in Monmouth, Illinois with Fresh Hire 365!

Are you pursuing a career in agriculture and looking for training and hands-on experience?

You will be a Fresh Hire 365 employee contracted to Bayer Crop Science, an industry leader.

Fresh Hire 365 is hiring 9 Field Operations Associate Contractors to support the

2026 Fall Harvest season at the Bayer Crop Science Research Site in Monmouth, Illinois.

Assignment will start September 8, 2026 and typically go through the end of December 2026.

You will receive comprehensive training from the Bayer Site Manager and the research team.

Position Details:

▪️9 openings available
▪️$17.00/hour

▪️Full-time, 40 hours a week
▪️Paid weekly
▪️All training provided

💰 Referral Bonus Available!

You will receive a $100.00 referral bonus for every referred candidate who is hired

and completes the harvest season. Multiple referrals are welcome.

Apprentice Spotlight:

Meet Ibrahim Abu, a Fresh Harvest 365 apprentice whose passion for agricultural research and sustainable innovation is helping shape the future of farming.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), Ibrahim serves as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant while building on a strong foundation in agricultural science. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Forest Resources Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana and previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana, where he contributed to agricultural and environmental research.

Through the Fresh Harvest 365 Apprenticeship with Bayer Crop Science, Ibrahim has enjoyed applying classroom knowledge to real-world agricultural research while working alongside experienced professionals. The experience has strengthened his technical skills, expanded his understanding of field operations, and reinforced the importance of teamwork, innovation, and attention to detail in advancing modern agriculture.

His journey reflects the impact of hands-on learning and the opportunities created when education and industry come together.

Meet Abdul-Lateef Imran , Team Lead for our Jerseyville apprenticeship cohort and a passionate advocate for the future of agriculture.

Currently pursuing his M.S. in Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Imran has embraced every opportunity to turn classroom knowledge into real-world impact. From leading a team of 12 apprentices to supporting Bayer Crop Science’s Plant Physiology team, he’s developed valuable leadership skills while helping bridge the gap between research and field application.

Meet Prapti Sharma, a Fresh Harvest 365 apprentice whose passion for agriculture has taken her across the globe.

Currently completing her Master’s in Integrated Agriculture at Texas State University, Prapti has built a diverse foundation through hands-on experiences, from working at a commercial mushroom farm in Israel to applying crop science principles during her apprenticeship with Bayer in Jerseyville, Illinois.

For Prapti, the most rewarding part of her apprenticeship has been transforming classroom knowledge into real-world experience. Whether collecting field data, learning sampling techniques, or working alongside experienced professionals, every day has strengthened her passion for agronomy and sustainable agriculture.

Her journey is a reminder that the future of agriculture is built by lifelong learners who are willing to step into the field, embrace new challenges, and never stop growing.

Big things are growing at Fresh Harvest 365, and not just in the field.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our apprentices
Abdul-Lateef Imran, Zoe Cox, and Pranishtha Upadhyaya, who were recently interviewed by Steve Werblow, President of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists, for an upcoming edition of The Furrow magazine by John Deere.

The interview highlighted their hands-on experiences with the Bayer Crop Science Physiology team and explored the importance of developing the next generation of agricultural leaders through real-world learning. Imran also shared his experience serving as Team Lead for our apprentices at the Jerseyville site, demonstrating how leadership, problem-solving, and innovation are cultivated through meaningful, on-the-job experience.
