Congratulations to Miss Sink's 3rd grade homeroom class for raising the most funds over the weekend for our Walkathon fundraiser! Students in her homeroom class may wear pajamas to school tomorrow! Nothing like rolling out of bed and coming to school!

We are 1/3 of the way to our fundraising goal- woohoo! Thank you everyone!

Adding in some fun (and competition) - the classroom with the most donations by 8:00 a.m. on Monday will have a pajama day on Tuesday! We will announce the winner on Monday!

Our Walk-a-thon fundraiser is off to a great start. We have a competition for today until announcements tomorrow…the grade level with the most student registrations on www.boosterthon.com (search for Mill Creek East) will earn an extra recess! Be on the lookout in your mailbox this week for the first edition of the Mill Creek Current, our new district newsletter highlighting the great things happening across Mill Creek Community School Corporation.

One of our goals this year is to improve communication from the district level and provide our families, staff, and community with more consistent opportunities to stay informed and connected. The Mill Creek Current is one of the ways we are working toward that goal.

Moving forward, the Mill Creek Current will be shared monthly by email, featuring district updates, student and staff highlights, upcoming events, and more.

Current parents and guardians do not need to sign up. You will automatically receive the Mill Creek Current through the same email communication system used to send your weekly building newsletters.

SMILE...It's Picture Day!

This Friday, August 14th, is our school picture day. The students are bringing home the order form today, check their folders/backpacks for it. You can also order online at www.pettitschoolphotos.com and enter the password: MCEES26 A receipt will be emailed to you if you order online. You will then complete the picture envelope, coming home today, and enter the online order number on the envelope. Order forms can be returned any day this week. All students will have their picture taken, whether they order or not.
