Be sure to mark your calendars for our 2022 Summer Information Fairs!
As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school. Families should attend the information fair in their feeder pattern. The information fair will provide parents an opportunity to request, verify, and ensure your child has bus transportation and a meal service plan prior to the opening of school. The summer information fairs will be held on August 1st and 2nd from 1 PM to 7 PM.

Congrats to Lila Aldridge as she passed the NC Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) exam. Lila becomes the first Johnston County Public Schools and Clayton High School student to obtain this certification through the NC OEMS/NC DPI course that is offered at Clayton High School.
We hosted a reception at Clayton High today to recognize and celebrate some special educators as they enter retirement.

The 2022 yearbooks have arrived! On Monday (5/22), seniors who did not pick up their books during the picnic should come to the Adams Gym concession stand at the beginning of 3rd block for pick-ups. Then, during their lunches, all underclassmen can come to the gym to pick up their books. Yearbook staff will be in the booth through 5th block, and again from lunch through 5th block on Tuesday and Wednesday. There are still a limited number of books available for $75 each, to be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Checks should be made out to CHS, and cash needs to be in the exact amount. Please see or e-mail Mr. Peake with any questions.

Headquarters NJROTC has approved and the Area Manager has awarded Clayton NJROTC with the Unit Achievement Award for SY 2021-2022. This award is given only to units that demonstrated outstanding performance for the year. The Area Manager determines Unit Achievement Awards for units in North & South Carolina based on the Area Manager Inspection score, End of the Year report points, and he also takes into consideration a unit's performance in relation to other unit's performance in areas such as academic competition, community service, orientation trips, and performance in drill and field meets.

The Clayton High School Battle of the Books team won first place at the Johnston County School competition on March 11th held virtually this year. The team represented JCPS at the NC High School Battle of the Books Region 3 Competition at Western Harnett High School on April 25th and won third place.
