12 years ago, I conceived my own way of teaching and that was at Montgomery Street in San Francisco, California. It was meant to be. God gave that present to me.✨
When I look back, I have no regrets. I have done my utmost. I have believed in myself and those who chose me to be their teacher and mentor.
The only thing that hurts a teacher is the devaluation of her/his job—one of the toughest jobs—thus teaching is not for anyone. You have to have a flame within.
Throughout the course of my career, I have no longer accepted devaluation of any kind. Students and teachers have to have a flame that goes beyond the desire to speak a second language—it is for your future.
If you truly believe in the power of education and that knowledge is power, then you will see a teacher as a sacred being. A teacher. Not any teacher. That teacher who will get up at 3:30 in the morning to serve a student. That teacher who arranged the class and will certainly show up, unless her body does not enable her to do so.
12 years of sacrifice and success. Lots of stories, but more importantly, lots of examples of students who started and walked all the way through the…end? No. It is endless. Learning is an endless process. That is why I chose the word FOREVER. We learn forever. Every day. Any time. Anywhere.
Mistakes are inevitable and part of the journey.
Thank you for everything, my friends-students. 🩶
See you very soon…
