You can look strong, fit and healthy on the outside and still be carrying stress, inflammation, high blood pressure, poor sleep or hidden cardiovascular risk on the inside.

Being healthy is more than having muscle, eating clean and working out.

We have to take care of the whole man.

Physical health.
Emotional health.
Spiritual health.
Rest.
Recovery.
Relationships.
Purpose.

I believe too many men live in a constant state of stress and pressure and never truly come down from it. We train harder, work harder, push harder and keep going—but rarely slow down long enough to recover, pray, get outside, walk barefoot in the grass, breathe deeply, sleep well and reconnect with God and the people we love.

We are not machines.

A strong body still needs a healthy heart.

So train. Get your blood pressure checked. Know your cholesterol and blood sugar. Pay attention to your family history. Sleep. Recover. Spend time outside. Pray. Get grounded. Deal with stress instead of carrying it.

Faith and good stewardship belong together.

Take care of the body God gave you—and take care of your heart in every sense of the word.

“Sometimes detoxing isn’t about what we remove from our bodies—it’s about what we remove from our lives. Noise. Hurry. Distraction. Shoes off. Feet on the earth. Walking, breathing, sleeping deeply, and watching God paint the evening sky. What a feeling. What a reminder that His creation is enough.”

MICHAEL’S TINY-LIVING CLOTHING REVIEW

When you choose to live tiny and take your life on the road, you quickly realize how little you actually need.

For me, it’s about keeping what has purpose.

A handful of linen and cotton shirts.
A few T-shirts.
A couple pairs of shorts and pants.
Work clothes.
A hoodie.
A good jacket.
A few solid denim pieces.
Hiking shoes.

That’s about it.

And then there are the two things that aren’t negotiable:

🎣 My fly rods.
⛳️ My putter.

Everything else has to earn its space.

We’re learning that simplifying isn’t about going without. It’s about making room for what matters most—faith, family, purpose, experiences and serving others.

The less stuff we carry, the more freedom we have to go where God calls us.

Tiny living. Big purpose.

The Road Rule

Everything should work with almost everything else.

Stay primarily with a few neutral colors, then let Lucy choose one or two colors she loves for personality. Most pieces should serve at least two purposes.

The goal isn’t to have a different outfit for every occasion. It’s to have a small wardrobe where Lucy can go from campground → travel day → ministry event → dinner → Sunday morning without carrying a closet around the country.

Target: roughly 30–35 core pieces, including outerwear and shoes.

Getting Your House in Order

When Jesus called Simon, He first told him to cast his net. Simon obeyed—even though it didn’t make sense after fishing all night—and the catch was so great the nets began to break.

Provision came. His house could be put in order.

But then came the real call:

“Follow Me.”

Simon left the fish, the boats, the security and the life he understood to follow Jesus into a life he could not yet see.

That’s faith.

We don’t always know the road we’re on. We don’t know where it ends, what it will cost, or how God will provide along the way. We only know that when He calls, we have a decision to make.

Follow or stay. Trust or control. Obey or waver.

Sometimes God puts your house in order not so you can become comfortable, but so you’re finally free to leave the shore.

When you’re called—follow. Don’t waver.

THE 3-FOOT CIRCLE 🎯

The 3-foot circle is all about routine.

When you step inside that circle, you’re stepping into your office.

This is where everything becomes intentional.

Be precise with your setup.
Be purposeful with your routine.
See the line.
Commit to the speed.
Trust your stroke.

No second guessing. No wasted movement.

Great putting isn’t built by hoping the ball goes in. It’s built by creating a routine you can trust under pressure.

Step into your office. Be precise. Be purposeful. Finish the job.

STOP WAITING FOR THE “PERFECT SWING” TO GET FIT FOR CLUBS. ⛳️

One of the biggest mistakes I see golfers make is waiting until their swing is “good enough” before getting properly fit.

I believe the beginning is actually the BEST time to get fit.

Why?

Because that’s when you’re learning. You’re vulnerable. You’re discovering what movement feels natural to YOU.

The wrong equipment can force you to compensate.

The right equipment allows you to swing naturally, build confidence and develop a motion that you actually OWN.

I don’t want to manufacture your swing around clubs that don’t fit you.

I want to fit the clubs around your natural swing and then build your game from there.

That’s one of the fastest pathways I know to becoming a better player — and ultimately giving yourself the opportunity to become a scratch golfer.

Own your swing. Build your game. Trust what’s natural.

There’s a reason my philosophy has always been:

TRUST ME… IT’S NOT YOUR SWING.™

Rhythm is everything.

In golf, life, business, and faith, success isn’t built on rushing. It’s built on rhythm.

When your rhythm is right, everything begins to work together. Your swing flows. Your decisions become clearer. Your confidence grows. Pressure doesn’t disappear, but you handle it differently.

Most people don’t need more effort—they need better rhythm.

A rushed swing creates poor contact.
A rushed life creates poor choices.

Slow down. Breathe. Commit. Trust what you’ve prepared for.

Find your rhythm, and let consistency become your greatest advantage.

What’s one area of your life where you need to stop forcing it and start finding your rhythm?

Stop waiting for the “perfect swing” before getting fit.

One of the biggest mistakes golfers make is thinking they should wait until their swing is perfect before getting their clubs fitted.

I believe the opposite.

Get fit to your natural swing, not to a swing you’re trying to manufacture.

Your body has its own rhythm, movement, and tendencies. When your equipment matches the swing that feels natural, you’ll gain confidence, consistency, and enjoy the game a whole lot more.

Trying to fit clubs to a swing that’s constantly changing can actually slow your progress.

The fastest path to improvement is finding the swing that is authentically yours—and making sure your equipment supports it.

Don’t chase perfection. Build consistency.

A properly fitted set of clubs can help you play your best golf today while giving you a solid foundation to improve tomorrow.

⛳ Play your game. Trust your natural motion. Build your game for life.
