♥️💙SMRS- Our very own 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. DeVecchis, had a most amazing European trip this summer with her daughter! Mrs. DeVecchis shares the following:

‘Was very blessed to spend time with my daughter and visit some amazing countries. Got to experience Croatia 🇭🇷, Montenegro 🇲🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, France 🇫🇷 and Spain 🇪🇸.
I loved immersing myself in the culture, the warmth of the people and the delicious food.’

We are so happy for you Mrs. DeVecchis! All of these wonderful memories in this trip of a lifetime! 🗺️

♥️💙SMRS- The Natale Family has made their annual Disney trip (with a special trip to Universal!) the definition of “cuteness overload!”

♥️💙SMRS- Our very own Reading Specialist, Mrs. Glogau, had a fantastic trip to the 15th state of the Union (known as the Blue Grass state!) - Kentucky! She and her family visited some incredible locations as well- such great pictures!

Mrs. Glogau shares the following:

“Visited:
The National Quilt Museum in Paducah
(One of my favorite pastimes)

A Horse Farm in Lexington as well as Mary Todd Lincoln’s home.

The Ark Encounter - a model of Noah’s Ark to scale as referenced in the Bible.

Churchill Downs in Louisville where the Kentucky Derby race is held each year.

The Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory where they make Kyle Schwarber’s bats to his specifications!

The Corvette museum in Bowling Green.”

“Such an awesome trip!!! Hope the students will read about some of these places to find out more about them!!!!!📚📖”

⬆️And this is exactly what a Reading Specialist (and teacher!) would encourage their students to do!

♥️💙SMRS- One of the great things about SMRS is welcoming new families to our school community! The Renzi family will be joining us in the fall ( we are looking at you Stella and Eleanor! 🏫📚🍎) and Mrs. Renzi shared the following:

“Stella and Eleanor (and our family) have spent the summer down in Virginia at the family’s lake house. So far, we’ve done a few day trips to DC and Baltimore, learned to wake surf, visited museums, and are just soaking in every last moment of this long summer before starting at St Michael’s in the fall!” 🌊🖼️🌞

We look forward to welcoming both Stella and Eleanor and all of our students back to school on September 8th! ☀️🏫🎉📖✏️

♥️💙SMRS- Now THIS calls for a celebration!! 🐎🏆 HUGE congratulations to incoming 7th grader, Cora DiPopolo and her incredible achievement!
Mrs. DiPopolo shares the following:

‘Back in June, Cora qualified to represent Gloucester County in the NJ 4H State Championship. On August 15th, she completed against some of the best riders in the state. She finished her day with a Grand Champion (1st place) 3 Reserve Champion (2nd place) and 3rd and 4th place ribbons.’

Cora! Congratulations! We are so proud of you!! 🎉🏆🐎

♥️💙SMRS- A busy but fun summer with the Floyd family! Great pics of Dad, Mom, Class of 2026 graduate, Jackson and incoming 2nd grader, James! Mrs. Floyd shares:

‘Most of our summer is consumed by summer swim team season at Brookside. Jackson competes in Tri County swim championships and James is gearing up to participate on swim team next year.
These are some of our August adventures so far.
Barnegat Light/LBI, the Aquarium, Ocean City, James in his butterfly garden observing monarch larvae, and the boys enjoying the pool at Brookside.’

We love it all!
