Global Power Line Academy

Global Power Line Academy Global Power Line Academy (GPLA) has developed a course of study designed to address the basic fundamentals of those entering the line worker trade.

Global Power Line Academy's Mission is to mentor, train, and provide the next generation of electrical grid-system workers with the skills and abilities necessary to provide safe and reliable electric service. This training provides a GPLA graduate the ability to begin his or her career as an apprentice and continue towards a journeyman lineman classification. We are located at Blue K**b All Seaso

ns Resort in Claysburg, PA. This is a 10 week program, 40 hours a week, for a total of 400 hours. Approximately 75% of training is done outside while the other 25% is done in the classroom. Our classes are small which provides the opportunity for more one-on-one training. Multiple sessions are offered April through September. Our instructors, all of which were lineman, trainers, and safety/management consultants, provide students with the benefit of over 250 years combined real-world experience. We are proud to declare that 93% of our graduates are working in the industry.
