Wait…what IS Gather for Good Match Day? This is a question that we've gotten a lot lately and it's time to take a step back and break it down.

Maybe you’ve seen the signs around town. Maybe your favorite organization has been posting about it. Maybe you keep hearing us talk about September 17 and you’re thinking…

“Okay, but what exactly IS Match Day?” 😂

Here’s the simple version: Gather for Good Match Day is one BIG day of giving for the organizations and causes that make Clay County such a great place to call home.

On September 17, you choose the participating fund (or funds!) you care about and make a donation. Then, CCCIF adds a 50% match to your gift, giving each participating organization the opportunity to receive up to an additional $1,000!

You donate $10, we add $5.
You donate $20, we add $10.

Your gift goes even further on Match Day. 💙

That’s it!

You don’t have to give hundreds of dollars. You don’t have to choose just one organization. Every donation makes a big impact.

$5 + $10 + $20 gifts add up when an entire community decides to show up. And THAT is what makes Match Day so special.

For one day, we get to watch our community rally around our schools, youth, churches, parks, nonprofits, scholarships, community projects and so many other causes that matter to us.

One day. Lots of causes. One incredibly generous community.

Ever wonder what a home visit actually looks like?

Sometimes it’s not inside a living room — it’s on a playground bench, with rockets and puzzles spread across a picnic table, while a Family Service Worker connects with a family and gets some fresh air along the way! 🚀🧑‍🚀☄️

Home visits are so much more than a “check-in.” They’re about building relationships, supporting child development, completing screenings, hands-on learning, and working alongside families to reach their goals.

Whether it’s helping a toddler explore a new toy or talking through family goals, our team meets families right where they are.

And you might even spot our coach, Cat, tagging along! She supports our staff and helps ensure every family receives the highest-quality services possible.

That’s the heart of Early Head Start — meeting families where they are. 💛
