River Valley District sent two livestock judging teams to the 4-H Livestock Sweepstakes event hosted by Kansas State Youth Livestock Program this past weekend! This was such an amazing experience to test our 4-Hers' knowledge and to challenge them as our producers of the future.

Check out the pictures for more information on team and individual results, and event breakdown with possible points the 4-Hers could earn! For more information, visit https://www.asi.k-state.edu/extension/youth-programs/events/livestock_sweepstakes/results.html

🍀 Congratulations to our Cloud County Clover Kid Award Winners! 🍀

Throughout the fair, we invited nominations for 4-H members who demonstrated kindness, helpfulness, leadership, good sportsmanship, and outstanding citizenship. These youth went above and beyond to make our fair and 4-H community a better place, and we're proud to recognize them with the Clover Kid Award.

Read on to meet this year's recipients and learn why they were nominated. Congratulations to all of our Clover Kid Award winners! 💚

🤩Hayden S.- Was nominated because she is always willing to help wherever help is needed; no matter the job! She is kind, friendly, and always has a smile on her face! She has put in several hours of hard work volunteering in multiple areas!

🤩Leah D.- Was nominated because she met a fellow 4-H member for the first time during the fair and, despite being complete strangers and competing against one another, immediately offered a helping hand. Throughout the week, her kindness, encouragement, and thoughtful actions helped make the Cloud County Fair a welcoming and positive experience for everyone around her.

🤩James S. - Was nominated because whether he was caring for his rabbits, teaching fellow 4-H'ers and fairgoers about proper rabbit handling and care, or enthusiastically sharing his project with others, he was always patient, welcoming, and eager to help. He went out of his way to assist other exhibitors with their animals, helped younger siblings, cleaned up trash and even bathrooms without being asked, and volunteered wherever an extra set of hands was needed, including in the food stand. His positive attitude, willingness to serve, and genuine kindness made a lasting impact on those around him and helped create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout the fair.

🤩Reese R.- Was nominated because throughout the Cloud County Fair, she consistently demonstrated kindness, leadership, and a willingness to help wherever she was needed. She took the time to assist a fellow 4-H member who she met just this week with their bucket calf, offered encouragement to other exhibitors, and was always willing to lend a hand without expecting anything in return.
