Does YOUR employer offer Carrot or Maven supplemental doula reimbursement benefits??!??!! Most expectant parents forget to ask! This could mean getting a possible 16 hours of care per day of postpartum care… days AND nights! Why wouldn’t you want that?!

Every family’s postpartum season is unique, and the right support can truly change everything! I offer both in-person (reimbursable & self-pay) and virtual care (self-pay), so you can choose the kind of support that feels most aligned for your family. 💛

Whether you’re preparing to welcome your little one in the coming months or already navigating those tender early weeks, now is the perfect time to put supportive care in place.

If you’ve been thinking about having support, guidance, reassurance, and a calm presence by your side…I’d love to connect.

Spring feels like a reset button…the air softer, the days longer, and everything quietly coming back to life. It’s the perfect excuse to dust off your bike, feel the sun on your face, or just the wind and let the rhythm of pedaling carry you forward.

Yesterday I got my “gears shifted” to clear my mind and get a little movement in! Felt great to finally get outdoors for a short bike ride before it rained!

New beginnings don’t have to be big; sometimes they start with a simple ride outside, where every mile reminds you that moving forward can feel this good!

Are you going to ride a bike this season?!

During World Doula Week, we celebrate support…
but we also need to talk about what happens when support is missing.

Because postpartum isn’t just about a new baby.
It’s about a new identity.
A healing body.
A nervous system in overdrive.
And a heart learning to hold more than it ever has before.

And yet… so many mothers are STILL silently navigating:
Postpartum Depression,
Postpartum Anxiety,
and emotional overwhelm… ALONE.

Here’s the truth:
✨ You were never meant to do this alone.
✨ Support is not a luxury~it’s a necessity.
✨ Being “strong” doesn’t mean suffering in silence.

This is where a postpartum doula steps in, not just for baby care, but as a calm, steady presence for you.

Someone to:
💛Hold space without judgment
💛Normalize your emotions
💛Help you rest, nourish, and regulate
💛Remind you: you are doing better than you think
Because when a mother is supported,
her mental health matters.

Her healing matters.
She matters.

If you’re approaching this seasons or are in this season right now, this is your reminder to reach for support.

And if you know a new mom?
Be the village she deserves.

Day 5: Postpartum Nutrition: Nourish, Don’t Deplete
Postpartum is not the time to “bounce back.”

It’s the time to rebuild, restore, and replenish.
Your body is healing, regulating hormones, and possibly producing milk…all on little sleep.
You need support, not restriction.

Here’s what matters most:
🥣 Eat to restore
Focus on protein, healthy fats, and simple, nourishing meals.
🔥 Choose warm foods
Soups, oatmeal, and cooked meals are easier on your body and deeply comforting.
💧 Hydrate often
Drink water every time you feed your baby… simple and effective.
⚖️ Balance your meals
Protein + carbs + fat = steady energy and mood.
🤍 Keep it simple
This is not the season for perfection… easy meals are enough.

Gentle Reminder:
You are not just feeding a baby…
You are healing a body and nurturing a new version of yourself.
And you deserve to be nourished too.

Day 4: What Does a Postpartum Doula Night Shift Look Like?!

Those early postpartum weeks can feel like a blur… feeding, soothing for baby, healing, trying to rest in between for you. Nights, especially, can feel long and overwhelming when sleep is broken and support feels limited.

A postpartum doula night shift is one way families can create a little more balance during this time.

So what does that actually look like?
During the night, a postpartum doula is there to care for your baby while also supporting you. This can include:
* Gently soothing and settling baby back to sleep
* Bringing baby to mom for feedings and handling everything in between
* Supporting bottle feeding (if that’s part of your routine)
* Taking care of diaper changes and resettling
* Keeping the environment calm, quiet, and restful
The goal isn’t to take over, it’s to support your rhythm and make the night feel more manageable for YOU.

Why this kind of support matters
Sleep in the postpartum period isn’t just about feeling rested… it plays a big role in physical recovery, emotional well-being, and overall adjustment to life with a newborn.

For moms, especially, having someone there overnight can mean:
* More uninterrupted rest
* Extra space to recover and heal
* Less pressure to do everything alone
* A sense of calm knowing baby is cared for
And for both parents, it can bring a little peace of mind during a time that can feel uncertain and exhausting.

Postpartum support doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Sometimes, even a few nights of extra help can make a meaningful difference.

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin at night, it might be worth exploring what support could look like for you.

As a postpartum doula, listening is at the heart of providing compassionate, individualized care during a deeply transitional time. We tune in not only to what our clients say, but also to unspoken cues… the fatigue, overwhelm, or uncertainty.

We create a space where new parents feel truly seen and supported. Through gentle, nonjudgmental listening, doulas validate our clients’ experiences, help ease emotional stress, and adapt their care to meet each family’s evolving needs.

What do you wish someone had told you about the first few weeks with your baby?

What does a daytime postpartum doula actually do? 💛

From soothing newborns to creating a sense of calm at home, I’m there to help families feel supported, rested, and confident.

I love walking into the beautiful chaos of postpartum and bringing calm energy, real support, and a few extra smiles.

Every shift is different and centered around mom’s needs… sometimes that means keeping her hydrated, tossing in a load of laundry, folding clothes, or simply sitting and having a meaningful conversation.

Other times it looks like meal planning, trying new recipes, baking, cooking, making tea, or even figuring out a new Instant Pot or air fryer together.
I also help with the essentials…washing and sterilizing bottles, pump parts, and pacifiers.

One of my favorite parts? Supporting older siblings as they adjust to a new baby. It’s a big emotional shift for them, and they deserve just as much care and attention.

And of course, I don’t forget the family dogs 🐾 They’re adjusting too! I love giving them a little extra attention, making sure they’re fed, have water, and get outside when they need it.

DAY 2: Why Postpartum Support Matters
