🕵️‍♀️ There was a math mystery to solve at CES!

Ms. Priddy's students returned to class to discover that their distributive property graphic organizers had been tampered with...and they were full of errors! 🔎
​
Working as math agents, students investigated each poster, identified the “crime scenes,” and used their distributive property skills to solve and correct the math crimes.
​
A little mystery made for a fun way to put their math knowledge to the test! 🧮✨

📚 A 14 percentage-point increase in just one year!

Clarksville Elementary students achieved an 87.9% pass rate on the 2026 IREAD assessment, an incredible 14 percentage-point increase from last year.
​
This growth reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the continued support of our families.

🌙 Learning the phases of the moon has never looked so delicious!
​
Mrs. Roberts’ 4th grade class used Oreos to model the different phases of the moon. Students created each phase, compared how the moon appears throughout its cycle, and enjoyed a hands-on way to bring science to life.
​
A pretty sweet way to learn! 🍪🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

😊 A little happiness goes a long way!

Our CES students helped create a special Wall of Happiness by designing index cards filled with the people, places, activities, and little things that make them smile.
​
Now, all of those happy thoughts are displayed together in one colorful reminder that even on a tough day, there’s always something that can bring a smile. 💛
​
We love seeing our students spread a little joy throughout the school!

🌟 We’re learning to REACH for our best!

This week, our Generals are resetting our schoolwide expectations with a shared language that goes hand-in-hand with our focus on kindness.
​
REACH stands for:
⭐ Respect
⭐ Empathy
⭐ Attitude
⭐ Cooperation
⭐ Honesty
​
And now, we’re looking to catch our students showing REACH! 👀
​
When staff members see students putting those values into action, they can earn a REACH Card. Every two weeks, cards will be drawn and students selected will receive some special recognition, including: a certificate, a spotlight in our newsletter and a special lunch opportunity!
​
At the end of each grading period, our REACH students will also leave their mark on CES with a handprint on the wall, featuring their name, the REACH quality they demonstrated and the date. 🖐️⭐
​
We can’t wait to see all the ways our students REACH this year! 💛🖤

Thank you to the teachers and staff who spent their Friday evening representing Clarksville and making Touch-A-Truck so much fun for our families. We’re pretty sure they heard enough bus horn to last them a while. 😂📣

Camp Kindergarten was full of big smiles, new friendships, and plenty of fun! 🤗✏️

Our future Generals spent time exploring Renaissance Early Learning Academy, meeting their teachers, practicing school routines, and building confidence for their first day of kindergarten.

We loved watching their creativity and curiosity shine. We can’t wait to welcome these little learners back for the start of an exciting school year! 💛🖤
