We wrapped up color days with a tribute to the one and only Dolly Parton. Dolly’s imagination library is very special to us at the Early Learning Center. Today students brought in their books from Dolly’s imagination library to share with their classmates! We are all feeling a bit BLUE over the loss of the great Dolly Parton.
Instead of wearing our favorite color tomorrow we are going to wear Dolly's favorite colors in her honor. Dolly stated in interviews that white and yellow are her favorite colors. So wear white or yellow or something with sparkles tomorrow in memory of Dolly. Dolly provided children across the country over 300 million free books. If you participated in her imagination library please have your child bring their favorite book from her collection to school tomorrow to share with the class.

Overall everyone is doing a good job of helping keep our campus safe and secure for our students. However, we do need your help with a couple of items:
-please hold your child's hand while walking in the parking lot or on the sidewalk
-please end all cell phone conversations in your vehicle
-reminder starting Monday only one adult can es**rt a child into the building at arrival and dismissal.

Holding your child's hand will help keep them safe from the numerous vehicles we have moving around our parking lots. Cell phone use can be distracting and we need all our parents focused on their child and the vehicles around them. As we said in our parent meeting at the beginning of the year using a cell phone especially on speaker phone could allow our students to hear adult words and conversations and we want to eliminate that risk. The use of the Facetime feature is a safety risk and an invasion of privacy if other children are shown in the video. One adult per child in the building helps to keep the school safe by reducing the number of people in the building as well as reducing the length of the line at the iPads. Thank you for making these adjustments and helping to make the Cub Hub a safe location for all of our friends
