The 48th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament is set for Oct. 2 at Swan Lake Golf Course. The four-person scramble is open to the public. For $100 per person, golfers can enjoy a day on the green, lunch, beverages, a gift, and more!

A generous gift from the estate of the late Dr. Bonnie Karrigan ('71) has established the Bonnie Karrigan Memorial Endowed Fund of Excellence at Austin Peay State University. The endowment will provide lasting support for the Department of Languages and Literature in the College of Arts and Letters.

"Dr. Karrigan embodied the Govs For Life Experience in every sense—as an alumna, a dedicated faculty member, and a generous donor," said Kris Phillips, APSU’s vice president for Alumni, Engagement and Philanthropy. "This final gift ensures her legacy of supporting the Department of Languages and Literature will continue to make an impact."

The Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees approved the naming of the Linda and Leon Hogg Sound Booth during its quarterly meeting on Friday, Sept. 11, recognizing a significant philanthropic contribution that honors a family legacy and supports the Department of Music.

"This naming celebrates APSU alumnus William Brian Hogg’s generosity in honoring the legacy of his parents, Linda and Leon, while investing in the future of our music students," said Kris Phillips, vice president of APSU's Division of Alumni, Engagement and Philanthropy. "This gift will directly enhance the hands-on learning experience for students in our live audio production program in meaningful ways."

Austin Peay has set a new all-time enrollment record with 11,338 students for Fall 2026, marking the second consecutive year of record enrollment.

From our largest incoming freshman class since 2018 to record military-affiliated enrollment, the momentum continues across the APSU. We’re proud to see more students choosing to call Austin Peay home.
