π First Half Day of School is Almost Here! ππ’
Our first half day of school is Wednesday, August 5, and a little preparation can go a long way in helping your child have a successful first day!
Here are a few things to review before they head to school:
β
Know how they are getting home (bus, car rider, walker, daycare, or after-school program)
π Know their bus number
π Know their bus stop location
π Know their teacher's name
π΄ Get a good night's sleep. We know it's tough to get back into a school routine after summer break!

These classrooms wonβt be empty for much longer! π
Our teachers are not back on duty until Monday but that does not mean that they have not been hard at work preparing every detail to make sure their classrooms are ready to welcome our students.

HEY FAMILIES!
π Your child's teacher will call you on Monday, August 3, to say hello!
π Please write down your child's teacher's name when they call. Bring the name with you to Back to School Night so you can head straight to the classroomβno need to stop in line to find your teacher. That line can get really long!!

Our hearts are with the Kenwood Middle School community during this incredibly difficult time. The tragic bus accident has touched so many, and we stand in support of the students, families, staff, and first responders affected.
We are keeping you in our thoughts and sending strength, compassion, and care. In moments like these, our communities come together to lift one another up.

We are so appreciative for all of our amazing educational assistants, teacher residents, and media assistant.
Because of them, classrooms are more inclusive, learning is more accessible, and every student has someone in their corner. Their impact reaches far beyond academics. We appreciate them more than words can express.
