Suzuki-style trumpet lessons for students of all ages: Private lessons, group classes, chamber music I know I always have been.
If you’ve heard a great brass quintet or ensemble (like the ones above), you’ve probably been inspired by the experience. There is something special about the sound, the glory and the power of an all-brass ensemble that you can’t find anywhere else. These groups are also amazing examples of chamber music — musicians working in small groups and communicating directly with each other through music i
n a way that you can’t get in a large band or symphony orchestra. On both counts, this music is my favorite medium both for listening and participating. I am pleased to announce a unique new opportunity for students to explore and experience playing in a brass ensemble/brass chamber music. The Madison Street Brass open to committed student brass musicians who are looking for something that might not be available through their school band program: Whether it’s more advanced challenges, the option to make music in a smaller group setting, or simply another venue to learn and explore music. Madison Street Brass will consist of an advanced (High School) ensemble, a beginner ensemble (Middle School or 1-3 years playing experience), and small chamber groups (like brass trio/quartet/quintet). We welcome all students who have a desire to make amazing music and are willing to commit their time and energy to learning how to create it. Students will participate in a challenging, fun, and rewarding musical experience through weekly rehearsals and a December concert under the direction and guidance of an experienced brass specialist.
