“You can’t pour from an empty cup.”
We’ve all heard it.
And yes—rest matters. Stewardship matters. Even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to pray and rest.
But what if we’ve gotten something wrong?
What if the cup was never supposed to be the source?
We spend so much time trying to make sure we have enough.
Enough energy.
Enough strength.
Enough patience.
Enough wisdom.
Enough faith.
Enough left in us to give to somebody else.
And eventually, we look at our empty hands and say:
“God, I don’t have enough.”
Maybe that’s exactly where He wants us to realize—
He does.
The widow had a little oil.
Another had a little flour.
A boy had five loaves and two fish.
Gideon had 300 men.
Paul had weakness.
None of them were “enough.”
But God was.
Every. Single. Time.
Maybe you can pour from an empty cup—not because you somehow manufacture more strength, but because you were never the source to begin with.
You are the vessel.
God is the Source.
And He is still enough. 🐝💛
