Wondering what happens in a counseling graduate class? Our undergrad visitors found out! 👀

We welcomed our first undergraduate students to COUN 5410: Counseling Techniques for an opportunity to experience our graduate program firsthand.

They joined our graduate students in class, got a glimpse of the hands-on learning that happens in our program, and saw a little of what life as a counseling graduate student can look like.

Sometimes the best way to decide if something is for you is to come see for yourself! 🎓

Our counseling students are taking the lead in presenting on professional standards—an important part of developing a strong professional identity as a counselor.

Student-led presentations like this give our future counselors the opportunity to take ownership of their learning, strengthen their professional voice, and engage their peers in meaningful conversations about the standards that guide our profession. 📃

Because becoming a counselor isn’t just about learning the content—it’s about learning to lead, communicate, advocate, and uphold the profession. 📢📢
