The university recently announced record enrollment, which includes another record year for our college - a 6.7% increase over last year 📊🎉

Four business students, Cutter Shepherd, Cambridge Thayer, Logan Butts, and Stephanie Knight, took their learning beyond the classroom this summer through the College of Business’ Banking on Govs program.

The students spent a week at the Southeastern School of Banking, gaining valuable professional experience and insight into the banking industry through this all-expenses-paid partnership with F&M, a Lawrence Bank and the Tennessee Bankers Association.

Congratulations to Dr. Phillips on receiving the 2026 NAIFA Community Advocate Award!

Representatives from NAIFA visited Austin Peay to recognize Dr. Phillips for his continued support and advocacy, while also speaking with students about NAIFA and the importance of bringing young professionals into the industry.

Thank you to Eddie Knight of 1847 Financial, Karen Byrd, retired from Jack Turner & Associates, and Alexis Goines of Allstate; The Goines Agency, for joining us and helping encourage the next generation of business professionals.

Congratulations to the 2026 A.J. Taylor Award recipients, Dr. Al Tilooby and Dr. Matthew Farrell!

Dr. Tilooby received the Excellence in Teaching award for his innovative use of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and virtual reality in the classroom. Dr. Farrell was recognized for Excellence in Research for his work examining strategic decision-making, governance and organizational adaptation.

Our College of Business team was proud to take part in Peayple in the Community, an annual Austin Peay tradition that brings students, faculty, and staff together to give back to our community!

This year, we partnered with Rise Against Hunger to help package 40,000 meals for people in need around the world. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our fellow Govs and make an impact together.
