Wistful Wednesday--is that a thing?

With campus quieter than usual for summer break, we can't help thinking back to last month and missing all these smiling faces.

The APSU National Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the Governors Circle Alumni Awards. If you know an outstanding alum, supporter, or community partner connected to Austin Peay, please consider submitting a nomination.

Awards include:

• Outstanding Service Award (may be alum or community member)
• Young Alumni Award (age 39 or younger)
• Outstanding Alum Award

In addition to this call for awardees, AEP is also making a call for alumni to be highlighted throughout centennial celebrations next academic year. These are due by Aug 1.

Sociology students: don't forget our end-of-year party is next week. We will honor grads, induct AKD members, hear updates on what our amazing students have been up to, play games, and eat lunch!

Our department was well represented at CoBHS Awards Day yesterday--and rightfully so! We are so proud of the students, faculty, and staff who make SCCD great.

Congratulations to our friends in CoBHS on a successful interdisciplinary simulation! What a cool way for students to learn and practice their skills.
