Hey Bobcat families! It was so great to see everyone at last night’s Open House. We are excited for our first half day of the school year! If your student will be a car rider this year and you were not able to get your car rider tags last night, please stop by the front office today to get a set. We will not be able to do ID checks in the car rider line, so vehicles without car rider tags will be asked to go to the front office to get tags. Thank you for helping us make the car rider process as efficient as possible.

Hey Bobcat families! Many of you have asked for school supply lists specific to BMES. Shown below are each grade level’s supply list. Teachers may have additional requests/wish list items, but we wanted families to have something prior to tax-free weekend in case they wanted to take advantage. 🫶🏻 Teachers will be reaching out to families soon to welcome them to their class, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask at that time. Freee & Reduced-Price Meal Applications
We encourage all BMES families to complete a Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application for the 2026–2027 school year. Even if you are unsure whether your family qualifies, completing an application helps determine eligibility for valuable benefits and supports that may be available to your child and our school.

Applications can be completed online at www.schoolcafe.com, which is the fastest and preferred method, or a paper application can be picked up at your child's enrolled school.
Applications must be submitted and approved each school year for students to receive meal benefits. You may use your child's school ID number when completing the online application, but it is not required.

All required student forms are available in PowerSchool, the CMCSS Student Information System.
💻 To complete your forms:

Log in to https://powerschool.cmcss.net/.
Select the "Forms" menu option.
Complete each required form.
When a form has been successfully completed, it will display "Submitted" with a ✅ green checkmark on the main Forms page.

Open the app and log in.
Tap "More".
Select "Forms" to access and complete your child's required forms.

Please complete the required technology forms before the first day of school. These forms must be completed before your child can receive their school-issued laptop.
Completing the forms in advance helps us avoid delays and ensures your child has access to this important instructional resource as soon as possible. 🎉 You're Invited to the BMES Back to School Bash! 🎉(Different From Back to School Night)

Back to School Bash is different from Back to School Night!
While Back to School Night is focused on meeting teachers, dropping off supplies, and preparing for the first day of school, Back to School Bash is all about bringing our BMES community together!
Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening filled with fun, food, and connection. We'll have:
🍔 Food trucks
💦 Dunk Tank – Bring a few dollars in cash and take your best shot at dunking our teachers, assistant principals, and principal!
🎉 Family-friendly games and activities
🤝 A chance to meet and connect with other BMES families
Bring a chair or a blanket to hang out with your families and enjoy the games and music!
Our faculty and staff will be there with their families, and we hope you'll bring yours too! This is a great opportunity to build relationships, make memories, and celebrate the start of another amazing school year together.
We can't wait to see our Bobcat families on August 7 from 5:00–7:00 PM! 💙🐾

Beginning of the Year Forms and Technology Update 💻

Families have been receiving communications from Technology regarding electronic forms for 1:1 technology, the Student Code of Conduct, health assessments, and other important topics. Do your future self a favor and don't ignore them! Reminders are sent until each student’s forms are completed.

Haven't seen any forms yet? 🔎
If a family is not receiving the communications from Technology due to spam filters or incorrect contact information on file, they can still log in to their PowerSchool account to complete the forms.

If you have recently enrolled a new student, you will begin receiving communication once your enrollment is complete.

Laptop Distribution Days 📅
It is important that student forms are completed before the first day of school. Additionally, it is important for students to be present on each school’s designated distribution date and time. Completing the forms and showing up to school are the simple, crucial items to ensure students receive this instructional resource on time!
