After an incredible summer traveling with our amazing Oakland Elementary faculty and staff, Oakley has officially returned to school! From beaches and libraries to historical landmarks, family adventures, and everywhere in between, Oakley loved seeing where our staff spent their summer making memories.

Now it's time for the greatest adventure of all... welcoming our Owls for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

🌟 Oakley's Adventure Continues! 🌟

Oakley tagged along with Ms. Dominiak, one of our assistant principals, and her family for a fun-filled adventure at Holiday World! 🎢☀️

Like so many moms, Ms. Dominiak spent the day making memories from behind the camera... which meant she wasn't actually in many of the pictures! Thankfully, Oakley made sure she didn't get left out by hopping into the family photo with everyone.😉 📸🦉

From thrilling rides to lots of laughter, it was an adventure the whole family will remember. Oakley loved soaking up every minute before heading back to Oakland Elementary, where the greatest adventure of all is about to begin!

Oakley had quite the adventure with Mrs. Willis, our principal, and her family this summer! 🦉💚

From paddling down the river on a kayaking trip to celebrating special family milestones, Oakley stayed busy every step of the way. He helped keep Jack smiling after his tonsil surgery, enjoyed an unforgettable performance of Hamilton, and traveled to Tybee Island and Savannah, Georgia, where the family cheered on Anna Joy at a dance competition while making wonderful memories together.

Oakley loved spending part of the summer with the Willis family and can't wait to hear about everyone's next adventure! 🌊🛶🎭✨

Oakley's passport got quite the workout with Mrs. Capotosti and her son, Axel! 🦉✈️🇯🇵

This unforgettable adventure took Oakley across Japan, where they explored the bustling streets of Tokyo, admired the iconic Tokyo Tower, and spent a fun-filled day at Universal Studios Japan. Their journey also included visits to Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Hiroshima, where they reflected on history while seeing the Atomic Bomb Dome—the only structure left standing near the blast's epicenter.

Along the way, Oakley and Axel made plenty of stops at Pokémon Centers, visited beautiful temples, and even rode Japan's famous bullet train between cities. What an incredible adventure filled with history, culture, and memories that will last a lifetime! We can't wait to see where Oakley travels next! 🗾🚄⛩️🎮

Oakley squeezed in another adventure!🦉💚

Mrs. Daigle and her family took a spur-of-the-moment trip to Dollywood, and Oakley was thrilled to tag along! While exploring the park, they even spotted some nesting owls—a perfect surprise for Oakland's favorite owl mascot! Ben, Matt, and Mrs. Daigle enjoyed making special memories together before the start of another school year.

As summer comes to a close, Mrs. Daigle and Matt are looking forward to an exciting year at Oakland. It's hard to believe this will be Matt's last year at Oakland Elementary, and everyone is ready to make it his best one yet. Here's to one final elementary adventure with Oakley leading the way! 🦉💚📚

Mrs. Irwin, one of our amazing 5th grade teachers, spent her summer making memories with the people she loves most! ☀️💚

Oakley tagged along for a fun day at PopStroke, where Mrs. Irwin and her husband treated their cousins to a little friendly mini golf competition. Between cheering on putts and sharing plenty of laughs, it was a day full of family fun.

The rest of the summer was all about slowing down and soaking up quality time with her hubby and her sweet puppers before another exciting school year begins.

We’re so glad Oakley got to join the adventure, and we can't wait to welcome Mrs. Irwin back as our 5th graders begin their own adventure this year! 🦉⛳🐾🍃
