Austin Peay State University Physical Plant

Mark, Kyle and John from our Grounds department got to assist with the installation of the newest artwork on campus yesterday. These were the 3rd and 4th pieces that we have had the privilege of installing in the last year. We appreciate the College of Arts and Letters trusting us to help with these milestones in building our on-campus sculpture park.

The 6th annual native plant sale went live this morning. All plants were grown at APSU and propagated from existing plants on campus.

Yesterday we got to celebrate Kenny Copeland and his 26 excellent years of service to APSU. We appreciate your dedication to the mission of this university. We will surely miss you but wish you luck and relaxation in your retirement.

111 new trees were delivered this morning. The landscaping and grounds crew will be busy over the next few weeks installing these all around campus. Our hope is to have them all in the ground before winter break. Some of these are replacements for ones we had to remove throughout the year and some are for new locations. Our goal is to at least be 1:1 replacement but we are closer to 2:1 trees planted vs trees removed over the last 11 years.

Today the Physical Plant leadership team took the campus tour to see our campus from a potential student's perspective. This was a great opportunity to be able to put our best foot forward to help recruit new students. Thanks to Amy, Jandro, and Keith from Admissions for helping us out.
