Reflection of the day. 📖 🌱
I can really appreciate the context in my reading today, and if you know me you know that I love a good rabbit hole.
The word discipline stood out to me, and it immediately made me think about how familiar it looks to the word disciple. Well guess what they’re related—and when viewed through a biblical lens, that connection feels very intentional. A disciple is a learner or follower, and discipline is the loving training that shapes that learner. 👏
Scripture reminds us that God disciplines those whom He loves (Hebrews 12:6). That’s such a comforting truth—His discipline isn’t punishment, but guidance meant to grow us, refine us, and draw us closer to Him.
Are we allowing God to shape us, or are we resisting His loving correction? Following Jesus isn’t just about going to church—it shows up in our daily habits and choices: at home, at work, at the gym, in a yoga class, and everywhere in between. Jesus invites us to follow Him in every area of life.
My prayer is that we would respond to His loving call, surrender daily, and walk in step with Him—because true life is found in Him alone. 🤍🙌🏻 Amen!

Read it. Study it. Live it. 📖 🌱
The text of the Bible—
A collection of books inspired by God. Written in three languages. (Hebrew Aramaic, and Greek) by approximately 40 people in three different continents 🗺️ over 1,500 years of relevant information from the time it was written till today— Highly accurate despite being written so long ago!

If and when politics start to take over or cause a rift in the family, take that same energy you spend debating or discussing and put it into the Bible. ✝️📖🌱 Spend as much—if not more—time in God’s Word than in the news. Let that be your common ground. 🙌🏻

Good Morning! 👋 ☕️
Just wanted to share this …it’s the best definition I could find. 🤍
“Heart posture”
It’s about aligning one’s inner attitude, thoughts, and feelings to reflect humility, openness, and willingness to follow a purpose greater than oneself. It refers to cultivating an attitude of kindness, gratitude, and a servant-hearted spirit, often associated with being receptive to God’s will, especially in a Christian context.
A good heart posture 🤍 involves prioritizing compassion, empathy, and love for others. It’s about being mindful of our motives and staying grounded in humility rather than pride or self-centeredness. For example, having a heart posture of gratitude involves seeing life’s blessings and challenges as opportunities for growth, while a heart posture of service means focusing on the needs of others before oneself.
In spiritual growth, heart posture is 🔑 key, as it encourages a mindset that is ready to learn, grow, and act with integrity and love. 🪴🫶🏼
Hope everyone has s a good rest of the week! Xoxo —Amber

Hi friends, Mindful Monday came a day early.
•focus•
As September winds down, I can’t help but reflect on the excitement that always comes with the arrival of the “ber” months. Those final months of the year have their own kind of magic. Fall 🍂🫶🏼 has long been my favorite season—the cooler temperatures, and the changing of the leaves. But this year, I am shifting my focus from the “ber” to the “er”
Rather than just enjoying all the fall festivities. I’m embracing this as an “er” season—a time to become healthier, stronger, and holier. It is not just about the cozy sweaters and crisp air but growing in ways that truly matter. Healthier in body and spirit, stronger in faith, and holier as I draw close to God’s calling.
This past week at a dental conference, I heard a speaker talk about how many of us live with a “spotlight mindset”, constantly seeking approval or validation. But that’s not what God wants for us. He asks us to step into His light, not to be noticed or praised, but to be His hands and feet. To be a helper, serving others, and letting His love shine through us. 🙌🏻
So, I challenge you today: Stop chasing perfection or comparing your walk to someone else’s. None of us are perfect, and the good news is, God never asks us to be. He calls us to step into His light and allow Him to guide us towards living an “er” kind of life. Let's focus on THAT —walking closer with Him, trusting that He will shape us into who He’s called us to be. Instead of trying to meet the world’s standards, let's seek His standard, which is rooted in grace, love, and truth. 🤍
Take care, xoxo— Amber

I wanted to share something that I came across while reading in worship class. 📖 🌱
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”— Melodie Beatie
What a wonderful quote! Too good not to share. 🤍🙌🏻 take care. Xo
