Summer Camp Week 2 Was a Win: Soccer, Cheer & STEM at CCS โšฝ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ”ฅ

Week 2 of Centurion Summer Camps brought another great week of energy, learning, and fun at Clarksville Christian School!

Soccer Camp โšฝ was full of energy as campers worked on ball control, passing, and game play, building confidence and teamwork with every drill and scrimmage.

Cheer Camp ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ focused on basic motions, coordination, and rhythm, with campers learning fundamentals and growing their confidence while having a blast with friends.

And in STEM Camp ๐Ÿงช, curiosity led the way as campers explored hands-on activities, simple experiments, and creative challenges that made learning fun and interactive every day.

Another strong week in the books, and the best part is, summer at CCS is still rolling right along! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ€โค๏ธ Celebrating 6 Years: Happy Anniversary, Coach Hassell! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ€

Yesterday, June 11, marked a special milestone for Clarksville Christian School, the 6th anniversary of Coach Trenton Hassell's appointment as Head Coach of the Lady Centurions Basketball Program.

Over the past six years, Coach Hassell has helped transform the Lady Centurions into one of the most successful programs in the state and nation. Since June 11, 2020, here are just a few of the highlights:

๐Ÿ† 4 NACA National Championships
๐Ÿ† 5 Consecutive TSIAA State Championships
๐Ÿ€ Numerous collegiate basketball commitments
โญ Countless All-Area selections and Player of the Year honors
๐Ÿ‘‘ A Miss TSIAA Basketball recipient in Lauren Hassell
๐ŸŽ–๏ธ 2025 NCSA National Coach of the Year Honors

The program has also produced outstanding student-athletes who have gone on to compete at the next level, including nationally ranked standout Lauren Hassell, who recently committed to Vanderbilt University.

While the championships and accolades are remarkable, Coach Hassell's greatest accomplishment cannot be measured by banners, trophies, or wins.

For six years, he has faithfully invested in young women, helping shape leaders of character, discipline, and integrity. The impact he has made extends far beyond the basketball court. Through his leadership, the Lady Centurions have become known not only for excellence in competition but also for excellence in the classroom, in the community, and in life.

This week, we celebrate not just a championship coach but a mentor, role model, and leader who has left an indelible mark on countless students and families.

Coach Hassell, thank you for six incredible years! Youโ€™ve helped make CCS a stronger athletic program, a stronger school, and a stronger family. Your legacy is already firmly established, and the story is still being written!!! Weโ€™re grateful for your leadership, proud of all that has been accomplished, and excited for all that is still to come. June 11 will forever be a special date in CCS history!

We love you, Coach! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ€

Centurion Summer Camps Are in Full Swing โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿ€

Last week we had a truly un-BEE-lievable time at Bug Camp, an annual CCS favorite! Campers got up close and personal with the fascinating world of insectsโ€ฆ including handling tarantulas (yes, really ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ๐Ÿ›), exploring all kinds of creepy-crawly critters ๐Ÿž, and even sampling some surprisingly โ€œbug-inspiredโ€ snacks that had everyone saying, โ€œI canโ€™t believe I ate that!โ€ It was equal parts science, curiosity, and just the right amount of โ€œewwโ€ฆ cool!โ€

We also hit the court for Basketball Camp, where campers dribbled, shot, and passed their way through skill work, competition, and plenty of Centurion hustle. The gym was buzzing just as much as the bug room, just with fewer legs and more layups ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

This week, weโ€™re back at it with Cheer, Soccer, and STEM Camps! Itโ€™s shaping up to be another action-packed stretch of summer at Clarksville Christian School.

๐ŸฅŽ๐Ÿ† All-Area Honors for the Centurions! ๐Ÿ†๐ŸฅŽ

Let's hear it for our own Charlese Teasley and Isabella Mansfield for earning All-Area recognition after helping lead the Lady Centurions to another outstanding season. Charlese capped off a remarkable year by earning both All-State and TSIAA Miss Softball honors, while Isabella continued to be a key contributor at the plate and throughout the lineup.

We also want to congratulate Coach Travis Cocke on being named Clarksville Now Coach of the Year! Coach Cocke guided the Centurions through a challenging schedule and led the program to its third consecutive TSIAA State Runner-Up finish.

Congratulations to Charlese, Isabella, Coach Cocke, our entire softball team and staff, and all of this year's All-Area honorees. The future of softball in Clarksville is bright! ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ

Members of our CCS team were honored to attend the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner & Gala last night. This was a wonderful time together celebrating the leaders, businesses, and organizations that help make Clarksville-Montgomery County such a special place to live, work, and serve.

A BIG congratulations to our own Erin Yow, who was named the Chamber's Ambassador of the Year for an unprecedented third time! This prestigious honor reflects Erin's dedication to serving others, supporting local businesses, and strengthening our community. We're incredibly proud of her and grateful for the way she represents CCS and Clarksville. Congrats as well to all of this year's award recipients. Your leadership and service continue to make a lasting impact throughout our community.

We are so thankful for our Chamber of Commerce and all they do to support our region, and we extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Licari for his leadership and service as this year's Chamber Board President.

Finally, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Antonio and Dava Murgas for graciously inviting us to join them at the Domino's Pizza corporate table. We enjoyed the fellowship and the opportunity to celebrate alongside so many outstanding community leaders.

โญCelebrating Tennessee's Statehood!!!โญ

On this day, June 1, 1796, Tennessee officially became the 16th state admitted to the Union. How fitting that just last week, a group of CCS students, parents, and one of their favorite teachers, Ms. Fisher, had the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C.

A special highlight of the trip was standing together at the Tennessee pillar at the World War II Memorial and reflecting on the service and sacrifice of Tennesseans alongside citizens from every state.

And what a special time to visit! As our nation begins celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence this July 4th, these experiences help inspire the next generation to learn from the past, engage in the present, and help shape the future.

Happy Birthday, Tennessee! โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™
