🧈🔬 Science is better when you can taste it! 🔬🧈

Our 3rd grade scientists had a butter time experimenting with how liquids can change into solids! 🥛➡️🧈 Students put science into action by making their very own butter in class. Through lots of shaking, observing, and investigating, they watched a liquid transform right before their eyes!

Hands-on learning makes science concepts come to life and this experiment was definitely a class favorite! 💛

Today, we’re celebrating Lillian Peterson

Lilian showed incredible confidence and kindness when she stepped up to help a classmate who had fallen behind. She patiently walked her classmate through an experiment step by step, explaining how to set it up, take notes, and complete the work.

Her willingness to help showed more than just confidence in her own learning. Lilian demonstrated patience, respect, and leadership while encouraging someone else to succeed. We are so proud of the confidence she showed and the kindness she shared along the way! 💙

Today, we’re celebrating Benjamin Aldrich and the amazing start he is making in his first year at K-12 Virtual! 💙

Benjamin has embraced the virtual environment by actively participating in class discussions, sharing meaningful insight, and contributing his own knowledge and ideas during group work. His confidence and willingness to engage have made his transition to a new way of learning a victory worth celebrating!

We are so proud of the confidence Benjamin has shown as he settles into K-12 Virtual and can’t wait to see him continue to grow and shine! 🌟

📣 Applications for CMCSS K-12 Virtual are OPEN!

💻 We’re now accepting applications for grades 4–12. CMCSS K-12 Virtual provides students with a flexible, high-quality virtual learning experience with live instruction every day.

📅 Important Dates
✅ Decisions sent by October 5
✅ If accepted, parent/learning mentor AND student orientation: October 9
✅ Students begin classes October 19

📧 Communication is key! After applying, be sure to check your email frequently for application updates, required steps, and your acceptance or denial notification.

👥 Limited slots are available. Space is limited by grade level and course availability. Completing an application does not guarantee acceptance.

📋 Complete applications are required. All required documents must be submitted by the deadline for an application to be considered complete, including proof of residency and transcripts when applicable.

Students follow a set daily schedule with live, face-to-face instruction through Zoom, receive support from dedicated teachers, and stay focused on earning credits and remaining on track for graduation.

Today, we’re celebrating Charlie Hanson and the incredible growth he is making as a writer! 💚

Charlie has been working hard to build his confidence, trust his ideas, and put his thoughts into words. Watching him become more comfortable expressing himself and seeing his confidence grow has been such a wonderful victory to celebrate.

We are so proud of the progress Charlie has made and the courage he continues to show each day. Every victory deserves to be celebrated and this one is worth celebrating! 🌟
