Our 4th graders have been following the adventures of Evan and his younger sister, Jessie, as they navigated friendship, competition, and entrepreneurship in their class novel. The story follows the siblings as they launch competing lemonade stands at the end of summer, turning a simple rivalry into an all out business war filled with creative strategies and plenty of laughs. 🍋📖💛
To bring the novel to life, students integrated math skills by working with line graphs and decimals connected to the story’s business themes. We wrapped up the unit with a fun celebration featuring lemonade and delicious lemon flavored cupcakes generously made by our wonderful 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Helen Smith. 🧁
It was the perfect way to celebrate reading, learning, and the connections we make across grade levels! ✨

We are so proud of all our Hawks who were recognized for their achievements during the 4th nine weeks! A special shoutout to our “Harrison’s Hawks” recipients-this Principal’s Award honors one student from each class who truly demonstrates our core REACH values: Respect, Effort, Attitude, Cooperation, and Honesty. Way to soar, Hawks! ❤️🏅👏🏼💛

After 30 incredible years in Special Education, we are celebrating the retirement of Gayla Fisher! 💜
Mrs. Fisher has dedicated 24 years to CMCSS, including the last 4 years here at Rossview Elementary, where she has made a lasting impact on so many students, families, and staff members. Her patience, kindness, and commitment to helping every child succeed have truly made a difference.
While we will miss her greatly at Rossview Elementary, we are so excited for this next chapter and wish her all the best in her retirement. Thank you, Mrs. Fisher, for the love and dedication you have poured into education over the years. Once a Hawk, always a Hawk! ❤️💛

🌟Mrs. Flowers’ 1st graders have reached for the stars!🌟
Using marshmallows and toothpicks, students created their very own constellations while learning about the night sky. Hands on learning + creativity made for a stellar day in 1st grade! ⭐🪐💫

Step into history! 🇺🇸✨
Our 4th graders brought the past to life during their Living Museum! Students researched and presented famous historical figures while sharing important facts about their lives and accomplishments. We are so proud of the hard work, creativity, and confidence our students showed as they became “living” pieces of history for the day! 🫡
