I know we said we wouldn’t add any new posts due to Burt Elementary closing but we wanted to add this the sake of history and celebration! Several Burt Elementary faculty and staff members gathered last night to celebrate Burt being a Level 5 school for the 23-24 school year!! We are so proud of our students, staff and teachers. Even in our last year of being open, everyone pulled together, stayed focused on student achievement and finished strong!! 🎉🎉

As most of you know, Burt Elementary closed its doors as an elementary school at the end of May 2024. I wanted to let those that follow this page know we are keeping the page for the sake of history and memories. Burt Elementary was very important and dear to so many, especially those of us who had the privilege to work there and serve the Burt students, families and community. This will be the last post but the memories will live on! Love, Ms. Mathis 💛🖤💛🖤🐯🐯 .

Family night fun! Thank you to all our families that supported our last night of fun! A big thank you to TN Twister (face paint & ballon twists) and We Bring the Party Events (DJ) for making our final Burt Family Night fantastic!

Today we had a wonderful visit from Zoodles!! They brought several animals to share with the students! If your child took a picture of the animal they will be delivered to the school on Tuesday and we will send them home with students then.

Don’t forget tomorrow is our last Family Night of the year! We will have hot dogs and popcorn, a DJ, face painting, balloon artists, and outdoor games! Join us from 4:30-6:30!
