JustNTune Music Academy- Ceasing Operations Starting June 1, 2024.

Just N Tune Notice

Dear Just N Tune friends and family,

We are writing today for a couple of reasons.

First, we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to invest in your lives by being your choice for music instruction. This is not a privilege we take lightly.

Second, it is with great sadness that we need to inform you that after over a decade in this region, Just N Tune Music Academy and piano service will be ceasing operations on June 1, 2024. We realize this is very short notice, but a number of aspects have come to play in just the past few days.

As you may be aware, Roger is retiring from pastoral ministry at Bible Baptist Church as of May 19. We will be moving to North Carolina to join the music faculty of Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore. Our plans originally were to run the academy “long distance” with the expert help of our administrative assistant, Caitie Wollett. We firmly believed this was a sound and workable solution to our moving.

However, in the past week, we found out that the facility of Bible Baptist Church will not be available for our use going forward. The complementary use of their building was essential to our operations.

Also, we discovered that there is a very likely possibility that Caitie will be moving out of state in the near future as a result of her husband’s career path leading to a new position.

These three situations together will make it impossible for us to continue to operate the academy.

We have enjoyed the opportunity to serve and are thankful for the many friends we have made over the years.

So, what does this mean for you?

1. Lessons will continue as usual for the month of May, according to the published Trimester 2 calendar.

2. You will be receiving a final invoice for the month of May.

3. Our website and Slack messaging will be terminated in the first part of June.

4. We are encouraging all of our families to feel free to reach out to their present instructor(s) and inquire about the possibility of continuing private lessons with them at a different location. Grace Foster, a college music major intern, will be available for piano instruction at Bible Baptist for the summer months only. You can text or call her at tel:3865074573.

5. For piano tuning, we are recommending Mike Foster (tel:3869179209).

6. All accounts must be up to date. So, please pay both past due and current invoices by no later than May 20.

7. We will be collecting all door access key cards the last week of May. Please turn in your key cards to your teacher at your last lesson. If you were not planning on taking lessons this trimester, we would appreciate your stopping by and dropping off your key card. Thank you!

Summer Trimester Music Lessons 2024!!! 🎶☀️🌴

We are so excited to announce that we will be offering summer music lessons again this year! We have professional instructors ready to teach lessons in voice, piano, violin, brass, woodwinds and more! We currently have a lot of availability for violin and piano lessons!

We are offering the following tuition options for the summer:

6 Week Option: lessons in May and August only for $180- for the first student
Or
Full Trimester option: lessons given May through August for $360-for the first student

We have exciting news to share! Our student, Emma Perez, lost everything due to the tornados in Clarksville a few weeks ago. We are happy to say we’re able to secure a new violin to replace the one she lost in the storms!

That being said, we still need your help to raise money for her tuition this semester! We are almost 1/4 of the way there! If you would please consider donating and/or sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family, it would mean so much to this little girl and her family.

In collaboration with Bible Baptist Church, we would like to announce our tornado relief Christmas gift drive happening this week from 9am-5pm. We have had students in our academy that have been directly impacted by the disastrous effects of the tornado. Please take a moment to consider sharing this post and/or donating to this cause.

Elizabeth Volz is a cellist who enjoys teaching and performing throughout her community. She has just graduated from Austin Peay State University with her Bachelors in Music with a concentration in Cello performance and is continuing her studies as she pursues a Masters in Music.
Elizabeth’s passion for teaching expands further than just in the studio as she has helped support local orchestras such as the Clarksville Youth orchestra.

We are so excited to add Ms. Karen Owen to our team of amazing teachers at JustNTune Music Academy. She will be teaching Ms. Wollett’s piano students while she is on maternity leave in addition to students of her own! We are so excited to welcome her to our teaching staff this September!

Karen has over 40 years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities. She has taught beginner to advanced piano in settings including individual, group lessons in schools and at home. Her degree is a Bachelor of Science in Church Music from Welch College.
Her appreciation and dedication to the piano began with lessons in the sixth grade, and by the ninth grade, she was playing in church. In high school, she was the accompanist for the Concert Choir, and during this time, she knew she wanted to become a piano teacher! Her extensive background in music instruction and years of experience uniquely enables her to help students reach their highest potential.
Her goal is to spread the joy of music and piano playing and welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
