May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. Take time to check in with yourself, rest when needed, and reach out for support. It’s okay to not be okay—and it’s okay to ask for help. Let’s break the stigma and support one another.
For all currently enrolled students, Austin Peay offers free counseling services; Follow the link to learn more: https://www.apsu.edu/health-and-counseling/counseling/index.php

Today, we proudly celebrate Lieutenant Colonel Kimberly Moore on her retirement after 20 years of distinguished service in the United States Army as a Public Health Nurse. 🇺🇸
Throughout her career, LTC Moore has served in progressively demanding leadership roles, always leading with compassion, fairness, steadiness, and an unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of Soldiers and their families.
Her retirement ceremony was moving and inspiring, filled with powerful reflections and heartfelt testimonies from those who have had the privilege to serve alongside her. The message was clear: Kimberly’s leadership has left a lasting impact on countless lives.
We are incredibly proud to have Kimberly as a Master of Public Health student and grateful for the wisdom, professionalism, and servant leadership she brings to our program.
As she begins this next chapter, we are excited for her to have more time with her husband, two children, family, and friends — all while continuing to make a difference in the lives of others.
It was also wonderful to see 2025 APSU MPH alum Sergeant Oneaka Warren present to honor Kimberly during this special occasion.
Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Colonel Kimberly Moore on an extraordinary career of service and leadership!

🎉 And that's a wrap on an unforgettable semester! 💙
This morning, the HHP 4800: Capstone for Public Health family gathered one last time to celebrate everything we built together — and we did it the right way. Breakfast casserole, potato hash, tres leches cake, croissants, fresh fruit, flavored coffee, and plenty of laughs. 🍳🎂☕
But more than the food, it was the people around the table that made this morning so special.
This group didn't just complete a course — they planned, implemented, and evaluated a full-scale public health program. They showed up, distributed meal kits, home health kits, and blessing bags, collected data, and stood at a research symposium to present their findings to the broader APSU academic community. They did the work. Real work. Work that mattered to real people in our community. 💪
And somewhere along the way, they became something more than classmates. They became a team. A community. A family that went far beyond the walls of any classroom.
The Gov's Wellness Hub 2.0: Caring for Campus and Community has officially come to a close — but the impact these students made on this campus and in the Clarksville community will last long after today's last bite of tres leches. 🌟
To this incredible group: it has been an absolute honor. Go out there and change the world — because we've already seen that you can. 💙
