Buggy Cove Academy

Buggy Cove Academy Buggy Cove Academy is a private in-home preschool. Centers, art, music/movement, Spanish, and story time are also included in our schedule!

The focus of Buggy Cove Academy is to give students the opportunity to socialize, build their self-esteem, and prepare them with the skills they need in order to be successful in kindergarten. During our time together we use hands-on activities and scaffolding to practice fine motor skills and learn letters/sounds, rhyming, numbers/counting, colors, and shapes. We also do science experiments and social skills activities that help students develop self-esteem and the ability to cooperate, share, and follow directions. Each week's activities are based on themes such as dinosaurs, apples, fall, all about me, and more! Your child we will be having fun while also building a life-long love for learning! Classes Offered
Tiny Tots (18-36 months) - Wednesday, 9am-12pm
Preschool (3-5 years) - Tuesday/Thursday, 9am-12pm

School runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

And that’s a wrap! We finished the school year with some fun summer activities like playing with sand, painting with lemons, making giant unpoppable bubbles, and enjoying popsicles! This month our preschoolers finished up their social skills unit on teamwork and cooperation! Learning to work together helps preschoolers build communication skills, problem-solving abilities, patience, and friendships while learning how to encourage and support one another.

We practiced these important skills through fun hands-on activities like an egg and spoon race, giant floor puzzle, cup stacking challenge, pass the scoops, and a beach ball relay. The kiddos had so much fun cheering each other on, working together, and learning that teamwork makes activities even more exciting! 💛

This week our Tiny Tots practiced their scribbling skills by decorating chickens for Farm Animals Week!

While it may look simple, scribbling is such an important part of learning. It helps build fine motor skills by strengthening the small muscles in little hands and fingers—skills they’ll need for writing and everyday tasks. It’s also the beginning of early writing skills, as children start to understand that their marks on paper can have meaning!
