And that’s a wrap! We finished the school year with some fun summer activities like playing with sand, painting with lemons, making giant unpoppable bubbles, and enjoying popsicles! It has been such a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together. Wishing everyone a fun, relaxing, and sunshine-filled summer!

This month our preschoolers finished up their social skills unit on teamwork and cooperation! Learning to work together helps preschoolers build communication skills, problem-solving abilities, patience, and friendships while learning how to encourage and support one another.
We practiced these important skills through fun hands-on activities like an egg and spoon race, giant floor puzzle, cup stacking challenge, pass the scoops, and a beach ball relay. The kiddos had so much fun cheering each other on, working together, and learning that teamwork makes activities even more exciting! 💛

This past week, we celebrated Earth Week by learning ways to keep our planet happy 🌎💚 We talked about simple actions we can take—like recycling, picking up trash, reusing items, and caring for nature. These little learners are already discovering how small actions can make a big difference! 🌱✨

Last week our preschoolers wrapped up their friendship unit in social skills! 💛
We’ve been learning how to be kind friends—practicing sharing, taking turns, and using our words. These activities help build important social and emotional skills while teaching children how their actions affect others.
We love watching their friendships grow as they learn, play, and connect with one another!

This week our Tiny Tots practiced their scribbling skills by decorating chickens for Farm Animals Week!
While it may look simple, scribbling is such an important part of learning. It helps build fine motor skills by strengthening the small muscles in little hands and fingers—skills they’ll need for writing and everyday tasks. It’s also the beginning of early writing skills, as children start to understand that their marks on paper can have meaning!

This week our preschoolers learned all about what plants need, then we got our hands messy planting our very own flowers! We’re excited to water them, give them plenty of sunshine, and watch them grow! 🌱🌸

We had lots of little hands hard at work planting flowers and strengthening fine motor skills in our Tiny Tots class this week! 🌸🌱 From pinching and placing to carefully pushing each piece into the tray, this hands-on activity helped build coordination while making learning fun!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Buggy Cove Academy had a magical St. Patrick’s Day week! ☘️ We dressed in green, created silly leprechaun names, and explored rainbows through fun, hands-on activities. The highlight of the week was searching for the magic rocks that a mischievous leprechaun dropped around our playground. So much fun using our imaginations and going on a lucky little treasure hunt! 🌈✨
