Save the Date for Kindergarten Kick-Off 📅 Tuesday, April 7, 2026
If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before August 15, 2026, your family is invited to Kindergarten Kick-off on Tuesday, April 7. CMCSS elementary schools offer a Kindergarten Kick-off to introduce students to their new schools. The events are held at your child’s elementary school and provide students with the opportunity to walk through the school, meet teachers, and even take a test ride on a school bus! Individual schools will provide more information. Please contact your child’s zoned school for questions about Kindergarten Kick-off.
Registration for incoming kindergarteners is encouraged but not required before Kindergarten Kick-off. To learn more about student registration and to begin the process online for the 2026-2027 school year, visit https://www.cmcss.net/registration/.

Due to inclement weather, Grandmama's House of Preschool and Child Development, inc. will be closed at both locations, tomorrow, Wednesday, 01/28/2026. There are still many icy, impacted roads that are hazardous. While main roads are better, there are multiple roads throughout the city and county that are still hard to travel on and move about and have the ability to conduct business routinely with care. We want to remind all our parents to please continue to check your notifications through your ProCare app tomorrow for further changes regarding closures, delays, etc. The safety of our parents, children, and team members is very important to us. We’re so sorry for any inconveniences that this may cause. Better days are coming! Stay safe and enjoy your snow day! 💙❄️
