🍎 If you missed seeing Ms. Janet’s smiling face today, here’s why…
Today, Ms. Janet was investing in something incredibly important—herself.
She spent the day attending the Ignite! Early Childhood Education Conference, learning new ideas, gaining fresh knowledge, and growing as an educator so she can continue providing the very best care and learning experiences for the children in her classroom.
At Golden Apple Early Learning Center, we believe that great teachers never stop learning. We’re incredibly proud of Ms. Janet for taking the time to sharpen her skills and pour into herself so she can continue pouring into the children she loves every day.
Please join us in celebrating her dedication to lifelong learning and her commitment to being the very best version of herself—for her students, our families, and our center. 💛🍎
We’re so thankful to have you on our team, Ms. Janet! 👏📚✨

💛 Learning never stops at Golden Apple Early Learning Center.
After a full day of caring for children, our team didn’t head home—they gathered together for our monthly staff meeting to continue growing as educators.
This month’s training focused on classroom engagement, and our amazing Assistant Director, Ms. Amy, led an incredible presentation on one of the most important parts of early childhood education: interactive reading. 📚
Reading a book is about so much more than turning pages. It’s about asking questions, using expression, encouraging predictions, making connections, and creating meaningful conversations that help children develop language, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.
I’m so thankful to work alongside a team that is always willing to learn, grow, and sharpen their skills for the children and families we serve. Investing in our teachers means investing in every child who walks through our doors.
Thank you, Ms. Amy, for sharing your knowledge and passion with our staff tonight. We appreciate all the work you put into making this training meaningful!
💛💛💛At Golden Apple, we believe the best teachers never stop learning.

👃 This week’s curriculum focus is one of our favorite things… the FIVE SENSES!
Our Green Apple classroom has been exploring the sense of smell, and today that learning came to life as the children made their own scented Play-Doh! 🌈
Every child had a special job—from measuring flour and salt to adding ingredients and mixing everything together. Along the way, they talked about what they could smell, how the ingredients felt in their hands, and watched how simple ingredients transformed into something brand new.
Activities like this may look like “just making Play-Doh,” but so much learning is happening:
💛Following directions
💛 Measuring and counting
💛 Building fine motor skills
💛 Expanding vocabulary
💛 Exploring science through cause and effect
💛 Engaging their senses through hands-on discovery
At Golden Apple, we believe children learn best when they can touch, smell, explore, create, and experience the world around them.
Today our classroom smelled amazing… but even better, it was filled with curious minds, eager hands, and lots of smiles. 💛

It takes four times longer to intervene in 4th grade than in 1st grade.
The longer we wait to identify a child that struggles to read, the more intervention, time, money and remediation is needed, not to mention the impact that waiting may have on self esteem and mental health.
Early identification of reading difficulties and evidence based structured literacy intervention is essential.
Don’t leave reading to chance!
Don’t wait. Close the gap.
