Our Half Day of School is Almost Here! 🦅

Here are a few important reminders for our upcoming half day:

🗓️ Wednesday, August 5th
🕢 Doors Open: 7:50 AM
🚌 Dismissal Begins: 11:25 AM
🍽️ Please Note: No breakfast or lunch will be served.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students do not attend school on the half day. Instead, Pre-K and Kindergarten families are invited to attend a Parent Meeting from 9:00–10:00 AM to receive important information and prepare for a successful school year.

While our teachers have been enjoying the remainder of summer break, many have also been spending part of that time preparing their classrooms for the year ahead. Every bulletin board, desk arrangement, and special touch is thoughtfully created to make each classroom a welcoming place where your children will learn, grow, and thrive.

A huge thank you also goes to our phenomenal custodial team! Each summer, they work tirelessly to deep clean, wax floors, and make sure every corner of our building is clean, safe, and beautiful before students return. Their hard work helps make Ringgold shine!

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications Now Open 🍎🥛🌮

Families who believe their children qualify for free or reduced meals should complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application for the 2026-2027 school year. An application can be completed online at ➡www.schoolcafe.com, the fastest and preferred method, or a paper application can be picked up at a student’s enrolled school.

‼ Applications must be submitted and approved each school year for a student to receive benefits. ‼

You can use your student’s school ID number for the online application, but it is not required.

School Front Offices Open to the Public on July 27

As a reminder, school front offices open to the public on July 27. If you have questions regarding paperwork, enrollment, or school-specific needs, front office staff will be available during normal business hours. Families can also reach out to the enrollment center and upload certain documents online.

How do I register my child?

If your kindergarten through 12th-grade student is new to CMCSS or transferring between schools, enroll online ➡️ https://parents.cmcss.net.

(This does NOT apply to 5th-grade or 8th-grade students who have stayed in the same school zone and are moving into middle or high school.)

The Enrollment Center serves as a centralized location for parents and guardians to ask questions about registering their children and gather documents, resources, and support for the enrollment process.

The CMCSS Enrollment Center is open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and on Fridays by appointment only. Parents and guardians can begin the registration process online, including submitting important registration documents.
