"Earlier this school year, Indian Creek Elementary School fifth-grade students transformed their campus into a living laboratory through a unique STEAM project supported by GSU faculty and students. With birdhouses installed throughout the campus, students observed nesting activity, collected ecological data, and analyzed real-world patterns during the spring season.
More than a science lesson, the project gave students an authentic research experience while strengthening environmental literacy, critical thinking, teamwork, and curiosity.
Through partnerships like this, students are not just learning science. They are doing science."

Kindergarten Roundup will be held at Indian Creek Elementary School in the back gym from 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m., May 12th –13th. To register, children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026.

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Plan Ahead 🚧

Church Street off-ramp striping is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6th.

Additionally, asphalt patching at the top of the Ponce De Leon on-ramp will take place Tuesday and Wednesday (May 12th & May 13th), weather permitting.

🚗 Motorists should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through these areas.

Instructional Technology will host its monthly Tech Café for parents virtually on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. This session is designed specifically for families with upcoming kindergarteners to help them build technology readiness for the classroom.
