GPTC Office of Community Outreach and Engagement The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement has five core initiatives:

The Georgia Piedmont Technical College (GPTC) Office of Community Outreach and Engagement was established in 2013 to serve as the primary coordinating unit for community partnership. In expressing his vision for Georgia Piedmont Technical College (GPTC), President Jabari Simama, stated that GPTC will “erase the boundaries between the community and our college. By working in partnership with the pr

ivate sector, local, state, and federal governments, and community-based organizations, we will harness the strengths of all for the greater good of the community.”

To support his vision, Dr. Simama established the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement in 2013, under the leadership of Vice President Cynthia Dorsey Edwards, to serve as the primary coordinating unit for community partnership. Community Service/Civic Engagement
5. Global Initiatives

With campuses in DeKalb, Rockdale, Newton, and Morgan Counties, GPTC is committed to public service and to establishing strategic alliances that will cultivate new opportunities, fulfill institutional goals, and catalyze community-centered development and growth.
