Our semester of classes is off to a wonderful start, and we would LOVE to welcome you to volunteer! Our urgent volunteer needs include:

🔹Children's Volunteers: needed on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9am-12pm. Snuggling and soothing our sweet children who are learning to separate from their mothers for the first time is special and rewarding!

🔸ESOL Volunteer: need for an experienced adult ESOL volunteer.

Thank you Oakhurst Presbyterian Church and Emory University Men's Basketball for your amazing work on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! This group worked diligently - and cheerfully - to move boxes and furniture, pack bags of books for families, and clean up our school. It was a HUGE task, and we are so grateful for you! 💜

A big shout-out of thanks to the Passion City team that served our program with special cleaning projects a few weeks ago. Through their time, hard work and love, they brought our MDM program site to ✨ sparkling-clean!! ✨ We are so very grateful 💜

We hold in our hearts Lorri Mills, a beloved volunteer, supporter, and friend of our school who passed away recently. Lorri came day after day to assist in one of our mothers' classes, always with a huge smile (and often with snacks!), and she supported us financially, constantly asking, "How can I help?" We already miss her and will always remember what a bright light she was.

We are thankful to Memorial Drive Ministries for hosting another DIAPER DRIVE this SATURDAY from 3:30-5:30pm for the families of Amani, Embrace and RFL! 💜

Mark your calendars for our next big Diaper Donation Drive! The drop off time will be Saturday, May 7th from 3:30pm - 5:30pm. Thank you for making your plans to deliver your donated boxes of diapers in that window - It’s a big help!

We were very happy to have Dekalb County Commissioner Ted Terry visit our school to learn about our work and answer questions about government (and SPLOST!).

We are so grateful for the strong and amazing women, mothers, sisters, daughters, teachers and students that make up our beautiful community, today and every day!

We are reminded of the weaving we make at our graduation that symbolizes the weaving together of our different cultures, languages, experiences and gifts. We are truly better together! Happy International Women's Day💜
