🐴💚 Welcome back, Broncos! 💚🐴

The lawn is set, the halls are ready, and we are officially set for an amazing first day of school! 🎉

We have been busy behind the scenes making sure our incredible staff feels the love right from the start—with a "Back to School Fuel" snack station and special first-day treats (earrings to add a little sparkle ✨ and fun socks to start the year off on the right foot 🧦)!

A quick checklist for tomorrow morning:

⏰ Give yourself extra time: Drop-off lines are always a little slower during the first week.

📸 First-day photos: Be sure to snap a picture in front of the Card My Yard Clarkston, MI sign on your way in!

Show your school spirit! Our online spirit wear store is live and stocked with fresh gear for students, parents, and staff. From cozy hoodies to classic tees, we’ve got something for everyone.

🗓️ Deadline: The store closes on Sunday, September 20th at 11:59 PM.
(Late orders cannot be accepted to ensure timely production and delivery!)

👋 Welcome to a new school year, Independence Elementary Families! 🐴

The IE PTO is here for you! Our mission is to connect and support our parents, teachers, students, staff, and the entire IE community. From field trips, assemblies, and student events to staff appreciation and classroom allocations, everything we do goes right back to enriching our school experience!

Here’s a quick guide on how you can get involved and stay connected this year:

📅 2026-2027 PTO Meetings
Join us at **8:45 AM in the IE Library** (unless noted otherwise) on the following dates:

Sept 18, Oct 16, Nov 20, Dec 11
Jan 8, Feb 12, March 12, April 16, May 14

🤝 Ways to Support IE PTO:

Join & Volunteer: Help out at events or attend a meeting!
Easy Everyday Support: Connect your Kroger Community Rewards, scan Box Tops, or shop our Spirit Store.
Consignment Support: Donate gently used kids' clothes and toys to IE PTO's account at BabyLove's Consignment.
Direct Support: Donations are always welcome (Venmo: ).

The 2026-2027 PTO Event Calendar is officially here! From our Annual Fun Run and Dine-to-Donate nights to the Snow Ball, Winter Carnival, and Field Day, we have an amazing school year planned for our Broncos. 🌟
