Photos from Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's post 04/15/2026

We are proud to recognize one of our talented student, Ingrid Madrigal-Cobos for her outstanding participation in the CTI Competition under the School Project category.

Her project is a stunning 8-foot by 4-foot mural representing the spirit and identity of AASD, was created as part of a campus beautification initiative.

Beginning in early March, she dedicated herself fully to this work, spending each school day bringing her vision to life with focus, creativity, and determination leading up to Spring Break. Her commitment and artistic growth are truly inspiring.

You can see the photos of her mural, and Ingrid explaining her work with lower elementary students.

The completed mural is now installed in the lower high school hallway near the Art Room. We are proud of her contribution of beautiful and meaningful addition to our school community!
