🚨 ACTIVE SHOOTER DRILL NOTICE 🚨

Our neighboring school, Clarksdale Collegiate Public School conducted an active shooter drill today and we also went into lockdown as part of the safety exercise.

Our school will conduct an active shooter drill on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. During this drill, our school will go into lockdown again.

Please remember: This is only a drill. There is no active threat or emergency. These safety exercises help ensure that our residents and Caregivers are prepared in the event of an emergency.

🪀✨ Today, we kicked off our first Wellness Wednesday by welcoming back some of our favorite friends, The NED Show!

Our residents were amazed by the magic tricks, impressed by the incredible yo-yo skills, and inspired by NED’s powerful message:

The energy was high, the smiles were big, and our residents left excited and ready to put the NED mindset into action! ❤️💙

Our residents are officially back in the building! ❤️💙🩺

From walking through the doors on our red carpet and lining up for class to enjoying lunch, participating in PE, and taking special first-day pictures with their lab coats, our residents had a wonderful first day of school!

Our students were especially excited to see their teachers again—we saw lots of smiles, warm welcomes, and big hugs throughout the day! 🤗

We are excited about all the learning, growth, and unforgettable moments this school year will bring. Here’s to an amazing year at Kirkpatrick Elementary! 📚✨
