| 🩺 The Coahoma Community College Health Sciences Division welcomed students back for a time of fellowship, connection, and encouragement as we kick off the new semester!

Dr. Chequitia Dixon, Dean of Health Sciences, along with faculty and staff, enjoyed the opportunity to connect with students and remind them that their journey toward a rewarding career in healthcare starts right here at Coahoma Community College.

Our Health Sciences Division is committed to providing accessible, affordable, diverse, quality, and equitable educational programs and support services while preparing highly trained, dedicated, and motivated healthcare professionals to serve the Mississippi Delta and surrounding communities.

From Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, Respiratory Care, Paramedic Technology, and Polysomnography Technology to short-term healthcare training opportunities such as EMT, CNA, Phlebotomy, EKG Technology, and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, our programs provide students with the classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical experiences needed to succeed in today’s healthcare workforce.

| At Coahoma, we’re all about storytelling. 📖✨

This week, we decided to switch up the way we tell the stories of our students because every student has a unique journey, a unique perspective, and a story worth sharing.

Our students come to Coahoma from different backgrounds, communities, and experiences, but they all become part of one family, the Coahoma family.

So, take a listen as A’Kyria Brown shares her story, talks about her journey, and tells us why she loves Coahoma. From the experiences that have shaped her to the people and moments that make Coahoma feel like home, A’Kyria gives us a glimpse into what makes her Coahoma experience so special.

27-21.

🩺 The Tigers brought the energy to our CCC Health Fair! Students came together for a day of learning, wellness, and community while exploring ways to prioritize their health and well-being.

From connecting with health resources to participating in fun activities, our students took the opportunity to learn more about making healthy choices and taking care of themselves. The day was filled with great energy, meaningful connections, and plenty of smiles!

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the CCC Health Fair a success and to all of our Tigers who came out and participated. Events like these remind us of the importance of coming together as a community and supporting one another.

| The Tigers brought the flavor and the style! Lit Chicken Wednesday added even more energy to our Week of Welcome festivities.

Students came out looking sharp in their best outfits, enjoyed some good food, and made the most of another fun day on campus. From stylish looks and smiling faces to plenty of laughs and great energy, the day gave students another chance to connect, make memories, and show their Coahoma pride.

We were also excited to have students from the second Middle College class join our Coahoma students for the festivities. Having everyone come together made the day even more special and added to the strong sense of community across campus.
