What a powerful day at Coahoma County High School!
Today began with an incredible Meet & Greet as hundreds of students and parents filled our campus, ready to begin a new school year. Families were welcomed with smiles, organized schedules, and a team that was prepared to serve. The excitement throughout the building was a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our administrators, teachers, faculty, and staff.
The day concluded in the most meaningful way possible, with our school and community standing hand in hand in prayer.
Students, parents, educators, ministers, alumni, and community members joined together to pray for a safe, successful, and focused 2026–2027 school year. There is something special about a community that begins the year united in faith and purpose. Together, we prayed for protection over every student, wisdom for every educator, strength for every family, and excellence in every classroom.
This is what The Next Era is all about. Building relationships, serving with excellence, and working together to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
If today is any indication of what is ahead, this school year is going to be one of the very best yet!
