The yearbook is finished! The staff worked extremely diligently to get quotes and photos in a "virtual" year. They decided early on that this book would celebrate previous yearbooks by featuring the covers on this cover, and inside as backgrounds. What a night! Students invited nine guests to help them celebrate their graduation. It was the first time graduation had been live-streamed. It was the last class to graduate from Cedar Brook Academy.

Dave Smith, the director, gave the commencement address followed by the presentation of diplomas. After switching their tassels on their hats, the graduates surprised the staff with hand-written notes and sentiments which they presented.

It was a special night celebrating the legacy of the academy and of Dave and Peggy Smith. A box of letters from previous VBA and CBA families was given to the Smiths at the end of the night.

Cedar Brook Academy is graduating its last class on Friday, June 4th at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited to the graduates and their families, but if you'd like to join in on this historic occasion you can watch the Live Stream here

Did you know that Cedar Brook Academy is the only ministry in Cedarbrook that’s actually older than the church? It began in 1986 and developed into a hybrid of private school and homeschool support system 🎒🍎✏️

Over the years, CBA has served hundreds of students and families! Today we honored the founder, Dave Smith, and his wife, Peggy for their hard work and service to this ministry. They built CBA from the ground up!

This Friday, June 4, CBA will graduate its final high school class and close its doors for good. 🎓🚪

Mr. and Mrs. Smith receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Stephen Namie Award and a citation from the Maryland State Legislature for their 38 years of service to the Maryland homeschooling community. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
