Classical Conversations of Clarks Summit

Classical Conversations of Clarks Summit Welcome to the CC of CS site! Thank you for visiting with us. We offer Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge A. Please contact us for more information!

Classical Conversations of Clarks Summit meets weekly on Tuesdays at Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit, PA. We are currently accepting registrations for the 2013-14 school year. Classical Conversations of Clarks Summit is a one-day a week option for home centered learners and their families. We are a group of local homeschooling parents dedicated to the Classical Christian Model of educatio

n, and we would love to have you join us as we implement the three stages of classical learning—grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric! Using age appropriate methods, children are taught the tools for studying any subject. Our local Classical Conversations community in Clarks Summit is in its third year of serving local homeschooling families with a unique option that offers community, accountability, and excellence in curriculum. If you would like to learn more, contact us, we have ongoing Information Meetings throughout the year, and also hold open houses several times during the school year so you can see us 'in action'. The Classical model emphasizes mastery of facts during the early years. This gives students a foundation on which to build later learning and a solid framework where ideas can be categorized and compared as students mature. (For more information on the classical education model, read Dorothy Sayers’ essay The Lost Tools of Learning.) Go to www.classicalconversations.com to learn more! Or contact Bonnie Janus at [email protected] or Maryellen Darling at [email protected]
