Work crews are out continuing construction on the median barrier on Ga 365. North bound is currently one lane from Mt Zion to north of Alto Mud Creek. Be aware of workers, vehicles, and machinery. Slow down and pay attention.

Several laws cover work zone safety, including speeding and Georgia's move over law.

Georgia Code Title 40. Motor Vehicles and Traffic § 40-6-188 covers the definition of a work zone and speeding in a work zone.

40-6-16 covers Georgia's move over law.

40-6-181 covers speeding.

It was a normal day during lunch duty for Teresa Thomason, a kindergarten paraprofessional at Hazel Grove Elementary, when she noticed a young student appearing like he was going to throw up. A few seconds later, Thomason realized the boy was choking and sprang into action, saving his life.
“Thirty years of training, because we do it constantly, just kicked in,” Thomason said. “You never know when things might happen and being in the school system that is just something you need to look out for and everything just came back to me.”
