Yavapai College Hosts Emerging Winemakers Competition and Wine Symposium at Verde Valley Campus

Clarkdale, Arizona — Yavapai College, in partnership with the Southwest Wine Center and supported by local community partners, is proud to present the Emerging Winemakers Competition and Wine Symposium at the Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale (601 Black Hills Drive) on Sat. Apr. 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. in building M, room 137.

The Emerging Winemakers Competition & Symposium is a unique event celebrating non-commercial, aspiring winemakers from across the region. Organized by the Grand Crew, a Viticulture and Enology student organization at Yavapai College, the event features professional judging with personalized feedback, educational seminars, and an awards celebration.
Industry experts lead sessions designed to support and inspire emerging talent in winemaking. Supported by the Verde Valley Wine Consortium, the event fosters community, learning, and innovation in the wine world.

They worked hard, pushed through and excelled in their classes and dreams in the making. They are the 29 winners of the Yavapai College’s STAR award honoring the top students across academic disciplines. Winning the highest awards at the annual Evening of STARS ceremony were President’s Award winner Sarah Khalil and Provost’s Award recipient Abigail Munchinsky. Congratulations to all the winners. Beloved Yavapai College Police Department Det. Sgt. Megyn Felton started working with Campus Safety at age 17 and has literally "grown up" and into a valuable leadership role at the college.
