The page is turning. ☀️
We're closing the book on a beautiful spring at Amazing Grace. May Day baskets, butterfly metamorphosis, barefoot texture paths, a class sensory book full of wonder — what a month of learning these little ones gave us.
And now? Summer.
Grace and Grow, our summer programming, starts soon, and we couldn't be more excited about what we've planned. Sunshine days, water play, garden science, story circles in the shade, and the kind of unhurried childhood that gets harder to find every year.
A few things to know:
☀️ Our School-Age classroom is capped at 25 children, so every kid is truly known
☀️ Spots are filling for current and new families

This week we're slowing down to notice everything. ✨
It's Senses Week at Amazing Grace, and we're walking barefoot on texture paths, taste-testing (allergy-safe — we promise), making scratch-and-sniff art, and looking really closely at the world.
Why does this matter so much for little ones? Because before children can read, write, or sit still in a kindergarten chair, they need to know how to pay attention. Senses are the first teachers. Wonder is the first lesson.
We'll close the week with a Wonder Walk and a class sensory book — a little keepsake from this season of growing.

Here's what we're exploring May 11–15:
🦋 Monday: What makes an insect an insect?
🐛 Tuesday: Butterfly metamorphosis
🐞 Wednesday: Ladybugs (with a read-aloud of The Grouchy Ladybug)
🐜 Thursday: Ants and teamwork
🔍 Friday: Outdoor bug hunt with real tally sheets and observation journals
Send your child in clothes that can get grass-stained on Friday. We're going hunting. 🔎

A little note for our AGD families this week 💛
Mother's Day looks different in every home, and we know that. Some of our littles are making cards for moms, some for grandmas, some for aunties, foster moms, dads doing it all, or the special someone who tucks them in at night. There is no wrong person to celebrate.
If this week feels tender for your family for any reason, please let us know — we'll follow your lead. Our only goal is to help your child honor someone who loves them.
That's what kindness looks like at this age. And honestly? They're so good at it.

May has arrived at Amazing Grace, and we're starting the month the way it's meant to be started — by giving. This week our friends are making May Day baskets and Mother's Day surprises for the people they love most. There's flour on the tables, ribbon on the floor, and the sweetest little hands working hard to make someone smile.
Friday, every child goes home with a card, a poem, and a flower tucked into a decorated bag — a small bundle of love from them to you.
To every mother, grandmother, auntie, foster mom, and chosen-family caregiver in our Grace family: we see you, and we're so glad your little one is ours to love this week. 💐

What does a summer at Grace & Grow actually look like?
Picture this: weekly field trips to the pool, library, and parks 🌳 hands-on science and cooking projects 🧪 game tournaments and team challenges with new friends 🤝 and quiet reading nooks for when they just need a minute to be themselves.
We built this program around what school-age kids actually love — adventure, agency, and real connection.
No "killing time until pickup" energy here. These are summer days they'll actually remember.

To the incredible teachers of Amazing Grace Daycare — thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, the patient hands, the tied shoelaces, the dried tears, and the thousand small moments of love you pour into our children every single day.
You are the people who notice when a quiet child has something brave to say. You are the ones who turn an ordinary Tuesday into a memory. You see each child as wonderfully made — and you help them see it too.

We are SO excited to announce something brand new at Amazing Grace Daycare — a summer classroom built just for school-age kids ages 5 to 12. Introducing Grace & Grow, a full summer of adventures, friendships, and the kind of days kids actually want to tell you about at dinner.
